Martboy21s new Black Super s

Don't remember you saying that, Sod it it can stay as is, Tis quite loud though? Put loads of lube on my shaft ;) ha ha

I won't be driving anymore just for pecs of mind I wanted to see it boosting, gotta love 2nd gear though!

Thanks again for your help as always mo :)

yeah remember I said to you that on mine it did make a noise but only when clutch aint pressed and thought it might just be the bearing needing a little lube..if its as loud as you say then dont think its what I had..Ill have to have a listen when I pop down, but nothing to worry about mate, hows the clutch holding now compared to the stock?

Oh she's good man, no slippy sloppy slip yet :)

Well chuffed with it mate apart from my new noise ....

Yeah when you come over you can hear it mate

Just hope when boosts turned up and mapped it holds,

Does anyone know if there's a universal fuel rail I can buy to fit these 370 injectors?

Just read through your whole topic, and i'm soo glad you've stuck with it. Even though you got kicked down (on more than one occasion) you had your chin up and persevered with it! Definately a huge inspiration to myself and many others on the forum!

please excuse my outburst of extremely frigging cool parts!(Y)(Y)

do you think if i popped over to japan and filled up a shipping container full of parts like this then id have a good customer base, bearing in mind that the micra community isnt exactly swimming with cash, pointless exercise or worth doing? i have the cash outlay to do this, just need to work out whether it would be worthwhile:glare:

Even with the £ getting marginally stronger against the YEN lately, i's nowhere near where it was a few years ago. Having recently imported some parts from Japan, by the time they are landed, i.e. all duties paid, they are pretty expensive comared to the purchase price seen in Japan.

Importing parts from Japan is currently somewhat of a luxury with £1 = 136YEN and with most people here looking for absolute bargains, I would have thought the market would be limited to the older members. Saying that, if you are considering importing a lot, please let me know, as there are a few items I could use.

Yeah I would in a month or so when my money situations sorted

Really really want that aspect carbon lip spoiler, it's mine muhahaha ;)

Japan ... I planned to go again in september this year, but now I wonder if its not hazardous for health ...

who cares , at best you will end up with heaps of cheap jdm tuning parts for your micra, at worst possibly nuclear poisoning follwed by a strong dose of cancer and perhaps an exploding liver, but hey, nobody said modifying your micra was gunna be easy, maKe the ultimate sacrifice seb, DO IT!!!!(Y)

Installed my new hydraulic jumping rear suspension today lol

Fitted exhaust back on, set fpr to 3 bar and set boost to 3 psi ;)

Feels like it's suppose to run like it,

Seriously cannot wait for this to be finish it's so damn fudging cool

Been re durning bro in-laws SSR wheels for him so he's getting me uprated fuel pump to say thanks (I hope) :)

I've always wanted a polished rocker cover since I've ever owned a car

My local "machining shop" wanted £100 to return it in a mirror finish

Waaaay to much money I thought

So with sone bits I had lying around I've done this today

Started with some gunk I had left over

b899a4e4.jpg

And cleaned it with a wire brush on a drill

f7e982d7.jpg

It came out pretty well from just that

57d5b645.jpg

After that I used an old polishing wheel and autosol

Started to come out really well, onto the other end

Finished product (almost)

Will fit later with pics

Looks good.

I know i started doing mine ages ago, but quickly gave up. So i antiqued it instead...its got a kinda gun metal look to it now. Dizzy looks the best though as it still had the corrosion on it. A win for laziness, even if i do say so myself lol.

Be sure to put some polish on it when you've fitted it, should help cut down on the corrosion / oil staining / various crap that reaches the engine from the roads, stealing the shine.

I cheated as I used the drill, dont think it would have worked by hand aswell, I finish off between the letters later with a tiny dremel polishing wheel

I think you just got to go for it, Tis bloody boring though!

On too the block next lol

What sort of wax Shaun?

Im checking your blog now solarice for pics ;)

well i have just started polishing up these alloys and have read how most people instead of clear laquer just wax them.
that way there is no worry about the laquer peeling in future so i am using my meguirs body wax and so far the one that has been polished is still gleaming :)
So you could either high temp/petrol resistant laquer it or put some wax on there :)

Im checking your blog now solarice for pics ;)

wont find any good ones (iirc - been awhile since ive upped pics to it) :D Only re-did it a couple of days ago, so its got a darker look to it now.

Shaun my alloys btw arent lacquered tis only wax that keeps them shiny (well that and not letting them get attacked to much in between polishes), so it does work...cant remember the type but its purple/pink and smells like bubble gum haha.

Cheers for that guys

Been doing my bros wheels for his mr2 recently following this

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LxxG4A4OgHI&feature=youtube_gdata_player

Although I used a flapper wheel to remove the curbed edges

That looks mint kris :) when you can get a further away front shot, I find it funny how same car, same engine etc but different paths take you to complete different setups and looks!!

Would be cool to have all boosted micras in one place for a photo shoot :)

Oddly enough the cam cover should look better, if i seriously corroded it then reapplied the polish.

I've been meaning to take some pics of the car, theres a few floating about from local meets and on random peoples mobile phones haha...but everything i've taken is just a quick pic.

Funny you should mention having all the boosted micras in one place, i was thinking about that the other day...as i'd been looking over the chatter on MSC meets. Wouldnt mind having a spy of the different setups.

Cool definitely be up for a boost meet, somewhere where we can actually do something so maybe pod? Long way of for me though as I need mapping, mot, tax and insurance

All in good time though eh

Here's the pics

Looks pretty neat :)

That looks really shiny haha. The black will be helping enhance it aswell. (Y)

I've been meaning to goto pod, quite a drive for me but if i knew there was a big enough meet...i'd make the trip.

this thread is so much info and inspiration for the turbo pao its unbelievable, 1.3 should be in by the weeks end so i can then get started on the conversion.
