Love the car dude but arent you supposed to dangle badges of other inferior car manufacturers from your car as a form of insult, not your own!

Here's a terrible example:

I had an idea! - You must be thinking - wow!
Remembered there was loads of plugs in the boot of the silvia and...

Ta-Da!

It looks a little fugly but hey! serves it's purpose.

After some stupidly overpriced quotes from a local bodyshop looks like i will be doing all the work myself again £230 for an open mouth grill anyone?
Didn't think so.

Anyways after making a trip to essex and back with McK's new lump in the boot my car sat like this:
Low.jpg

Definately tempted to go much lower now but think i would need someones hand in bolting some straps up for the suspension like Mark did.
Good thing is the wheels sit in the arch in a nice way so no need for much arch work and if i did decide to get some other wheels i could always do the arch bit later.

That looks awesome :)

You simply must go lower now you've tempted yourself

Just get some corsa b rear dampers, there a lot shorter and stop the spring falling out?? Worth a look mate

Yes Well someone is gonna have to help me fit them as i know some minor modding is needed so will have to do a bit of research on 'em.
And the rear spring that comes with it will be useless :(
Ah well. :p

Grinder on either side to take a couple if mm of the bush on new dampers

Straight in ;)

Good to meet you yesterday matey (Y)

Are they factory spec you are talking about Martin, or the short shocks from a coilover kit? - whichever, definately a better way to do it, but not as free.

The cut springs no lOnger are lose with the smaller dampers, I have half the length of a stock rear spring in mine, I had to jack the axel up to make the corsa b dampers fit with the spring under load, they literally are a perfect match for me bit not for someone who requires more spring as it's on it highest as it is

Franks front springs collaboration and corsa b rear lower dampers are win for cheap reliable lowness;)

Shaun order the kit young man ;)

Cut springs... :p

duhh lol feel like a ### now for askin that, i misread what mark had said earlier, thought he meant there was another way to make em work just not as free! Really need to stop early morning internet browsing ha

Update:
Nothing has happened, Yet. Just a heads up though i will be selling my alloys soon so if any of you guys are after 15" alloys with decent tread all round (practically new) then keep your eyes open. looking for £200 for my alloys w/spigots, wheel nuts, locking wheel nuts.Images are above and on my K10 thread. 15" x 6.5j. et. 38 or 40 (can't remember off the top of my head)195/45 tyres.
Nothing is wrong with them, just been talking to the micra today and he keeps begging me for new shoes :p

Hey where did the 'H' go? lol
Thankyou Peposi! :p

Hey, Shaun, I was going through your blog and just realised that Sean is actually the Irish version of Shaun :):)

Too many things to do and no time... fogs, skirts, splitters, LEDs and most importantly - lowering. Have the springs and the bushes from frank. Want to do it on my own. Don't wanna go to garage :). The only one around who could help me is Kalata, but he's 150km away and we're both working different shifts... :glare:

Yep you Need that lowering. :D makes the car feel and look unbelievably different you'll kick yourself for not doing it sooner! :p

Update:
Been up to the scrap yard to get a part to do some work on. Been slaving on it all day and haven't even got to where i wanted to :(
Gonna keep it quiet for now (i know you're thinking then why update?) Because i am bored damn it! hopefully it'll be done tomorrow and i'll post pictures :D
The clue is it has cost me £5

thats why the flat block is used
wrap the sanding paper round it,then sand with even pressure,,try not to force it let the block flatness run it through
concentrate on keeping the block flat against the pannel

It's ok Mck sorted it for me as i am useless... You will all hopefully see the results by the end of the week.

In other news,

My alloys have gone now and i am riding on Poo razor thin steelies again, local tyre place gave me a free nut as i was missing one and got the tracking done while i was there.
Now for the new discs of fun.
I will upload a picture of them, When they are on the car :p
Enjoy your wait :D

This has the potential to be either devastatingly cool, or just plain devastating - can't wait to see it on the car so I can decide if I want to copy you or not :p

I am not totally happy with it because there are still small imperfections and the colour is slightly off.
So we shall see what happens when it's cured enough for a rub down and buff.

What paint you using? Not halfords is it? There colorr matching is always pants

Looks awesome though mate!

Only concern would be cooling for engine?
