GuyH08's Red k11 - Updated 5th July

It all started a few years ago... my uncle who lives in London was getting too old to drive so he decided to think about selling his micra. I was only 15 so my dad bought it for me to keep as my 1st car :)

I payed £400 for the car, its a 1.3 GX and had 3700 miles on the clock!, he had it serviced by nissan every year and it was in absolute mint condition! (apart from one tiny dent on the wing)

This is how it started :)

Then Came the Janspeed Backbox (Big thanks to Matthew Humphris) and Alloys

That's a nice looking Micra - well done to your dad for getting it! :D Whats the insurance looking like on a 1.3 at 17?

Looks good, deffo needs lowering though!

Thanks :) yeh thats on the top of my list...along with the open mouth grille :)
will lowering it 35mm make much difference?

looked like my car when i bought it (standard) even had a dint in the same wing lol :D

love the wheels

Thanks :) The wheels seem to be rather popular :D didnt think this many people would like them :wow: lol

haha how strange...how did you get rid of it...or did you just leave it?

Thanks mate :D

yeh im so glad he got it for me :D
Well, its insured as my dads car with 7 years no claims, and me and my mum as a second drivers and its £1300 fully comp.

even though my mum and dad dont ever use it...because its mine :D

modded, can you really notice the 35mm difference?
dont most of the lowring springs make it about 20% stiffer too?
Best place to get the springs?

cheers

Update

Got a few things done over the weekend :)
Took off the 'micra' sticker on the boot.
And fitted my rev counter...eventually
And then went to the scrap yard and got almera 1.6 airbox for £10 :)...only problem is it dosent look like it will fit  will i have to mod it in anyway to make it fit? the bit that goes over the TB is a to bigger diameter. also do you keep the intake pipe or do you take it off and use a different one?

Cheers :)

Also took some pics :)

Ooo
So i just take it from the old one and put it on the Almera one?
Shall i keep the Intake pipe from the Almera one, or shall i get a different one and feed it to the front of the car?

yep just take it out the micra airbox and put it on the almera box lol, i would keep the almera pipe on ;) as you have rivit a new pipe onto the box as they keep falling off.

I would (and have :p) Got a larger one and fed to the front of the car, got to be the best option imo.

Hmm...lol

A bigger one to the front of the car would be best for performance wouldnt it ;)

Whats best, Green Cotton pannel filter or K&N?

Yeh thats nice :)
Did you feel much power increase?
What filter do you have in that?

I have a K&N just like the sticker on it says I do ;)
Marginal power difference, any intake changes won't make a lot of difference though unfortunately.

hes got a k&n...tbh green cotten and k&n are both the same panel filters, just diffrent courlors lol they will both do the same job. just buy the cheapest one :D

Sweet :)
is it worth fitting with the standard filter in it? or ahould i just wait to get a K&N and then fit it.

Yeh i think i will :)
Did you connect the oil breather to yours? or did you have a seperate little oil breather filter?

err i kind of have nothing at the moment lol, but i have a crank case breather to go on and I'm going to blank off the bit on the airbox for it.

Yea lol, is your rolls parked round the back? And how long after the photos were taken were the police called? :p

Little tiny update, clocks just rolled over 10,000 miles  it feels like its dont loads of miles now fwn haha

too bloody much, I pay under £30 for everything from frauds on trade, servicing is a piece of #### and a good skill to learn to save a hell of a lot on money in the long run!

oh  lol, well...would it be worth paying all the money to get it done?
because its got such a good service history i want to keep it good

there easy as pie to service :D all i do is replace the oil filter, fuel filter, oil (and spark plugs dependent)

i do struggle to reach the oil filter though :S so i tend to leave it, i have 3brand new oil filters in a halfords bag in my shed that i brought for each service lol..
