Been on the forum a while now and though I might as well start a build thread.

The car that ive got is a red 97 that I picked up for 200 pound off a friend, the car didn't have tax or test and has been off the road for about a year but still drives fine, paintwork needs a bit of a correction but gonna get it professionally machine polished.

There is two bits rust a tiny hole on the sill and the lower front cross member which I'm going to replace.
Anyway I'll stop rambling and put a crappy picture of the car up

So got the car back took the front bumper off to access the front cross member and found out the front lights were both broken and so was the grill, so nipped down to a local scrappy which just happened to have a march in so nabbed the front lights,rear lights,grill,plastic can cover and boot and petrol popper only this is someone took the latch that goes in the boot so if anyone has one hit me up thanks.

Well nipped to the scrappy yesterday and managed to grab my self a wrap around boot spoiler

Managed to get some work done on the car yesterday fitted some new front speakers that I got for a steal at halfords and fitted my front lights and a new handle as the other was broken anyway ill let the pictures do the talking

So decided to paint the door cards yesterday it didnt come out as well as I had hoped so gonna redo them also need to order so alcantara for the centre section.

I also found out the reason why me reg lights weren't working turns out the wire had snapped as it transfers from the car to the boot and burn all the other wires so need to solder them all back together

decided to put some speakers in my parcel shelf, I dont think they came out to bad and considering it all didnt cost me anything I dont think it was to bad just got to wire them in and there done and also soldered the reg light wires together and they work

nice clean car. Always loved the red paintwork on micras but apparently the colour fades of various panels over time giving it a pink ish look. Have u noticed anything with yours?

Its not in bad nick mate the passengers front wing has been resprayed but thats seems about it but when its on the road im gonna get it machine polished by a mate to try and get it gleaming

Decided to change the disks and pads last weekend as the brakes were a bit crap and also for the fact that the car has been sat for 2 years

also heres some of how the car is sat at the moment

Also the girlfriend bought us these beauty's

Made a start on my shoes this weekend which came to a quick stop when I realised that both slave cylinders were leaking so gonna order two of them thus week and finish the brakes

Also while the car was in the air and I had nothing to do I whipped the spring out and trial fitted some of my cousins tsw stealths

Been told 80 pound for them with tyres so think I might have found some wheels

look ok them wheel.
the cylinders start leaking when they are reaching their extention limit.so could be fine if you push them back in.or not depend on the rubber seals.

Ah right ill have a look again but deffo need one as one of the pistons is seized solide

No but in all fairness the car was stood for 2 years before I bought it

Fitted new slave cylinders yesterday and got the rear brakes built back up theb took it round the field a few times to make sure everything was in working order and found a horrible clonk on the drivers side front when on full lock.<br />After further investigation found out my cv boot was split <br />

Well the car got welded on monday
Front cross member cut out

New one in and comparison

And car on its side for the sill

Then the time came

Passed first time with no advisories then took her home for and gave the engine bay a clean

So happy to finally get my first car on the road and sorry for such a bit update just been to busy enjoying the beast

So finally got round to fitting my march rear light despite how much of a pain in the arse they were there finally fitted and im really please with how they look alot better than standard

Cheers mate managed get a bit more done over the last few weeks
Got a almera air box and fitted that with the standard pipe so I relocated the expansion tank and fitted that also managed to get my arch trims not fitted yet and pop out windows
Got a spoiler for it the other week and sprayed it so it looked textured to match the bumpers

Also fitted my headlight protectors

And bought some new polishes and waxes

Not updated this in a while, so managed to paint and roll (hammer) my rear arches and paint the inner arches, aldo at the same time managed to fit my rear are trims

Clamped on to hold

does anyone no what the best to use to get adisive off paint?

Also fitted my stainless steel rockercover bolts looks a million times better
And my almera air box and relocated expansion tank

Inner arches always look the part when painted, looks well...what filter are you using in the airbox?

Not updated in a while but got some rare goodies coming from japan and also managed to pick up some prefacelift clocks with a rev gauge

Also going to pick up some subaru seats at the weekend

And getting a parcel shelf with speakers off naz on here

So I took the car into work on my dinner and treated it to a service

also figured out what was making the exhaust rattle

the shield was hanging off so I snapped it off

Cars changed quite a bit since last updated got my sr bumpers on

And fitted my dashpod

Then one night my exhaust decided to snap

And a recent engine bay picture

Then lowered it

Fitted my sr front bumper the otger day just need to wire the fogs in

And trialled some of my cousins wheels on it

And gave it a machine polish

Not updated this for ages fitted a inlet cam in it yet to fit the exhaust one hopefully soon

Wow I really havent updated this in a long time I'll try and figure out where most of the pictures go in time
So I picked up some minilites off eBay in October and got them fitted

Still need to sort the back setup out or if anyone has any rear coilovers for sale?

Then I got round to sorting the front fitment

Then I turned round down my road and did this  luckily nothing was damaged

Then the MOT prep started had it in work on the ramp

Anti roll bar is coming off at the weekend

Then it is currently in MOT mode which it passed on Monday

And raise the front a bit so the jack would go under

And fitted my new steering wheels and started polishing the dishes on the minilites

Then I got bored of hand polishing with metal polish so we made a buffer

Still need a lot of work but getting there
