New shoes :D

After selling some bits on eBay, clearing a friend's garden and doing random errands for my parents I've earned a pretty penny this week!

Sadly, it all had to be put aside till I get paid but I did spend a sneaky 25pound on a coilpack K11 centre pipe though!

Will be here midweek ready to be fitted early October or even end of this month. Just need to get a new standard backbox and some gaskets.

yes mate, damn pikey,s  and around the gate lol
Know the feeling

Frank just taken most of the stuff round the engine out...Next is to take the gear box and flywheel housing away from the engine.. suggestions? take the shafts out ? or can I avoid that ?

i always leave the shafts/gearchange/starter in chris, and pull the g/box over a bit, but i have binned the tin sandwich plate behind the flywheel tho

okay so do I remove from the engine attaching to the flywheel housing, or unbolt from gearbox connecting to flywheel housing? figured flywheel housing from engine...stops oil going everywhere?

by the looks of it there is only four bolts conneting the flywheel housing to the engine. there is fly wheel exposed so the bottom cover is not attached.

sounds like ed already discarded the plate eh, and yes 4 x 14mm bolts, and 2 x 12mm lower ones if fitted, and the 2 x 14mm rear mount bolts
WADIDT ? cut 2 ribs from a leftover 6x610 belt, for the idler-less waterpump :)

Sounds like you're making cracking progress Chris. I've just been out assing about with the camera. This is 6 seconds at ISO 100:

Pity it was so dark I didn't notice how not straight it was :p.

Ta mate :) wish I had help tbh! Loving your picture :D Wish mine was as clean as yours!

Today I...
attempted to change left front suspension arm, haven't the patience for doing another one, so off to the mechanic with it :/
...am currently 95% finished changing the front brakes, just need to bleed them and do a break in
...am about 75% finished stripping the interior. Going to go black with all the grey plastic, and trying to come up with a plan for the door cards.

Rears: 13x8.5J ET-13

Written here, as if in stone to remain forever in time.

WOW ! I cant believe the difference that has made, its a different car lol :)

Remember to show us what you come up with, particularly if it's light weight!

I've no idea at atm what I want to do. I like the lightweight idea, but until i get a second car, i have to have it somewhat comfortable when i have passengers.
I'm stripping it to find any rusted through places, but also to save some money getting the sills replaced.
I should have been able to get everything finished today, but have been bedridden with a horrible cold. Feeling much better now, and should be able to finish tomorrow.

Fitted white LEDs behind the dials. Blue were nice but made important speeds hard to see.
Also fitted blue LEDs to the indicators on the dials so they have nice blue arrows :D

And I noticed the I do have a space for a fuel light but the bulb and bulb carrier is missing!

they all have the space for the fuel low light, but not many have the sensor on the fuel pump, high spec only :D
