Porks bike carbs and boost project

Taken a fair bit of material off that pressure plate

Meh , it's done now lol see how it holds up :)

Jus whipped off carbs, cleaned everything, still no ignition, swapped leads and plugs over, no joy!!!

**** you car, it jus doesn't want to work anymore

It was all fine yesterday, running sweet, can't see why it ain't working now

Tried it, so of come carbs again

There's fuel in the bowl, jus hope a good clean will cure it,

Havnt got a compression tester, hope it's nothing that serious :(

Tried that, all feels the same :)

Carbs back on, no good :(

I tested for spark by pulling plug out and resting it in block and starting, I can see spark

Any other tricks

Gonna go get set of plugs and leads, jus to rule that out too

Did you do anything to it after you ran it last time ? Maybe its simple like a wire somewhere getting knocked off or in wrong place , i dunno anything bout k11 engines never got to touch one :p has it got coil pack ? Plug lead from it to distributor has a lot depending on it so thats a suspect i guess :p prob things youve already looked into all this but just to try and be a help :p

Well....... I broke it !!!!!!!

****!!!

Think the head gaskets gave in

****!!!

It was savagely quick then it died :(

****!!!!!

Cylinder 2 has no ignition, white sludge on oil filler cap

Can't believe it

You've jus jogged my memory of somthing I should of done...... Oops

I never plumed this in

What problem would this have caused

No signs of oil anywhere.

What bout that PVC valve thing not being plumbed up, would that of bust somthing?

My neighbour is bringing comp tester home for me

Ah so how sure are you of your gaskets being blown because isnt the pcv meant to remove vapour from the crankcase but techinically its not so could cause sludge to form?

I had a scare when it was a bad seal on my oil cap, was white with sludge but no water loss or no signs anywhere else in the engine

Very odd its normally number 3 lol id guess that the gaskets are fine but ringlands/piston unless youve got white smoke and water loss

Could just be the air temperature causing steam from the exhaust gases. My car is like that at the moment and no water loss, bubbling coolant at the rad cap will give the ghost away

It was insanely fast though, literally thought I was gunna take off lol

Never experienced anything like it, I need it back in my life quickly

I completely understand, i was fitting new engines on a monthly basis years ago, its just something you cannot give up on because youve experienced a small piece of what will be a bloody fast motor!

Right, just use compression tester, all 4 exactly the same, 10.5 bar

There fuel, got spark, maybe my home made dizzy has dismantled itself

Have to check in morning.
Maybe the key I welded to mate the ma10 dizzy to the cg head has snapped

To dark outside now

mine used to lift the head up when ragging it last year, and spat coolant out a couple of times neil, it ran ok afterwards tho :)

And he's back in the game!!!

Yes!!

My vac advance on dizzy had decided to dismantle itself

All running ok.....for now

Defo gunna look into better ignition options now,

Block off vacuum advance, just makes it harder to set the ignition timing. Its only to give more ignition advance under partial/no throttle conditions to reduce emissions etc
