100 pound is fairly cheap for a manifold, suppose you would probably get what you pay for tho, do you have a link to site for that thunder one? just to see what its made from etc....

Just thought I'd post pictures of what the IMPUL manifold actually looks like.

IMPUL only make a 4-1 design. Not a 4-2-1 as depicted.

Nismo used to make 4-1 extractors too. They pop up on Yahoo japan every now and again, but sometimes they're replicas and you can see they're made of thin metal and where they dump from 4 into 1 its really dodgey.

just need some advice. i need to get a performance manifold. however i have aircon ( no i not geting rid of it) i'm aware of compaines selling them in japan problem is i can't remeber any of them. all i need is a few options and pics as well as makes. like what used to be on performance micra, which doesn't seem to be working.

i've got a contact that could possible get me one from japan. just need to know some info on them first. he's also driving a micra as well only it's got a 2.0l lump in it. and his still running on standard suspension and springs

You need to speak to Harvey. Harvey is retired and lives in mid wales (near Aberystwyth) and used to have a company making exhausts for competition vehicles of all types (F1 upwards). I heard about him from a grasstrack racer. He has made several for Micras, but he probably hasn't made one for AirCon or Turbo. He willl make any manifold to fit any car, but he may want to see it first. They are made by hand and if you want a Lambda Sensor fitted tell him and where you want it. Mine was the first one he has made which has a Lambda sensor hole. We decided on where all the pipes come together which is just behind the gearbox. It's a bit tight and you have to extend the wiring. I wouldn't want it there if I didn't have a sumpguard, but he will put it anywhere you like. The only problem I had fitting it was that I had to drill the manifold holes out a bit more to go over the studs. He gas welds them and it was slightly out of allignment. Unlike most 4-2-1 manifolds it is in one piece. But if you are interested just give him a ring 01970 880340.
