i thought about that but its quite think so im unsure of what id use but a job for the future when i have some to do it with eh

but mine wasnt too bad and still comes through strong!

after work today i was gnna clean the car but it rained so i didnt till this evening all polished and looking shiny yay :)

no pics im affraid was getting rather dark

but i managed to move my oil breather due to the problems i have been having with it spilling oil everywhere like this!

1313867786083.jpg

this is because the angle of the filter was allowing it to fill with oil and piddle out thus me losing a considerable amount of oil (had to top up the oil with half a litre) hope this is just because of this otherwise i have a oil problem :|

the angle of the filter

1313867772053.jpg

then i got a piece of old coolant hose and removed the mud from it mostly and cut it in half to give it a 90° angle and wedged it in the bottom of the filter

1313868074842.jpg

then now its fitted the filter wont be able to fill with oil unless im upside down but it will still work as intended by jebus

well after successfully using well over half a tank in 208 miles i need this new gear box etc so before JAE i have a mission and a half

- buy, get and fit the 1.3 g/box and surroundings
- get 1.3 flywheel lightened before fitting
- get and fit corsa coilovers (second time trying)
- sort minilites and fit with mega lowsss!

this is too right!

well if im honest none of its a rush but id rather have it done i need to collect it so the owner isnt kept waiting as its rude!

but ill be getting the wheels on the roll on wednesday

and susp when i have the money in my account to order it in reallyand ebay has no cheap ones so i dunno which set id go for :(

Fair enough, I really need to do the panhard after sorting my wheels I noticed how bad the rear had shifted, may even trim the springs whilst I'm at it

I like the nose down look though but there's no way it can drop any further on the rear until I can sort the bushes, 175/70 tyres on the rear and the drivers side looks like it'll hit the top of the arch if I go over a bump

1314525933792.jpg

and thanks to karl for finding these and pestering me got these super s bumper for a total of £35
1314525949095.jpg

and like any panels they should always be test fitted first and the front fits well just not happy with the gapping but i had the same problem with my other bumper due to its early inlife badly repaird front ender ! it needs a new front member and it may straighten out the front end
1314530243326.jpg

1314530269649.jpg

1314530256818.jpg

so i et about moddifying the front bumper for fully open mouth

so heres what i started
1314550533916.jpg

cut here here and theree everywhere
1314551394969.jpg

and vala and all cut away leaving a gaping hole
1314551429806.jpg

for a first attempt at using the sheeting fibre glass stuff from halfords it works well
1314555592388.jpg

1314555601466.jpg

the centre bit was very hard indeed as all the sheet just wanted to sag so i used a board to hold it flat
and heres my result
1314624606870.jpg

1314624614673.jpg

and then the insides after being tidied up using a sanding bit on my new dremel bought for this job!
1314624623365.jpg

1314624631005.jpg

first layer of filler applied! took 4 mix ups
1314628257116.jpg

1314628265705.jpg

after a second coat most of the areas are complete but the areas where i cut sections from still need a bit more like the section where the plate goes to get it level and to keep the shape!

but heres my choices
1314275676425.jpg

TOO MANY

but my main choice is the left hand one here
1314275436678.jpg

small update the wheels are now finished just waiting on new centre caps and the spigot rings! as long as i can get the spigot rings tomorrow im set to get them on! :D

here they are after 2 lots of paint stripping, wire brushing and pressure washing! very wet job indeed! and messy lol

1314723276507.jpg

lip all fully polished up, decided to keep the lip polished in the end because of the rough casting in the middle and it would look silly so it stayed... i started with 320 grit... 500 grit... 1200grit and then 2000 grit to finish off with a coat of t-cut.. i was going to laqure over it but chances are that the laqure wont last and would proably peel! just means ill have to cope with polishing it up!

and then the laqure
1314895388477.jpg

1314895409647.jpg

###### the spigot rings havnt come yet! how on earth am i going to get the car on these wheels upto karl? unless i just get them really tight lol

They're 4x100 arn't they, so you should be ok if you've got the correct tapered nuts shouldn't ya.

Need some better pics with the wheels on too, colour's looking a bit of a common gloss black in those pics. With the bumper on too(Y)

its very different from gloss back! its a metalic dark grey sorta like charcoal!

and as said bumpers have taken a back seat when i have time etc ill do them but at the moment i have no money nor time

If they are tapered/radiused nuts you shouldn't have a problem, just tighten opposites gradually working round the wheel. No need to tighten any more than normal. If they are sleeve nuts, and pretty new you'll probably be OK too, but if you can feel any slop between the sleeves and the wheel then It's best to wait.

well they are all on once again and indeed i done the nuts up so that they made the wheel centered i hope!

well before i swapped the over i painted the rear drums to cheer them up
