Thought i'd make a blog on my car =] it's a 1996 1.0L vibe and has done 32,200 miles, only got it for £150 last may. here's a few pictures of what it looks like so far.

Current mods are as follows (regularly updated):

tinted rear light
14" Speedline alloys
open mouth grill
air + breather filter
ripspeed DV720 head unit
2 350 watt 6x9 sony explodes / 2 250 watt 13cm JBLs / 2 110 watt kenwoods / 1 2000 watt 10" subwoofer
1 mosfet 2 channel 360 watt amp / 1 2 channel 450 watt amp
seat covers
painted dash, glovebox e.t.c
tinted front indicators
red painted calipers
55mm lowering springs
full maniflow exhaust system
bodykit

future plans are:

tint rear windows
leather seats

and many more when i can think of some =]

you got a bargain and a very low mileage car. what sort of backbox you got? or is it a trim pipe?

it's a peco backbox i bought from the scrappys, was meant to fit a corsa but i modded it to fit micras =] i'm going to the scrappys today to buy a center pipe and make a de cat =]


i'll get some pics up once it's lowered, just need to find the springs! lol

while you,re at the scrappy, look out for some suzuki or matiz rear springs, here,s mine with a sill to floor measurement of 155mm front and 170mm rear ( the facelift measured 230front and 225 rear)

the k11 rears are a slightly bigger diameter (there,s some info in my blog), so i was,nt happy with the fit personally (another member on here is happy with his front and rear tho) have a look for some alternative springs while you are there

ahh i see, the thing i don't get is how you can tell if the springs will lower your car?? cos they're off standard cars, how could you tell if they would lower a micra?? measure the height of them??

god that was a heated debate, i'm not sure about cutting springs, mainly because i've never done it before lol. would these fit onto a micra???

i,ve no idea :wasntme: i prefer factory springs personally (ones that dont break) or trusted rally ones (eg, mph)

everything looks good though. and the grill iss niiiiiiiice after all that work we did it finaly payed off.

whats next on the list then duude? ive got my leather all in now and its realy comfy. just after springs now and my punto is sorted.

equalizer didn't go as planned =[ lol i re-wired the whole radio, found out it didn't work and had to wire it all back up to my origial setup, 3 hours wasted but oh wellll

i have now tinted my front indicators and painted my brake calipers red

jonny (micra mamp) used my angle grinder but anything that will cut. will cut it within reason. we glued strips of fibreglass with epoxy resin to the gaps where we had cut out, then filled over them, sanded flat, primed and sprayed.

And adam yeah im from pensby i do have a micra, but only for a project to make some money, ive joined this to learn more about them. ive got a 1.3 lx i think in a kinda metallic blue/green. black bumpers, all standard. not going to customise it its only to fund my suspension re-valveing on my motorbike realy. i drive a 1999 mk1 fiat punto.

do you ever go to the rock retail 'cruise' in birkenhead? me and jonny go occasionaly
