Riiiite thought it would be a good idea to start a blog as I’ve got big plans for the little car and wanted to keep track and share my progress(Y). Not got many pics of the car in its earlier stages as they got wiped off my comp. She started as a 1.0 micra boston in aj4 red. The 15” wheels, super s spoiler and custom grille where the first to go on. Then some colour coding and other little bits. And that’s where the pics start....

Next went lightly tinted front lights, Sunstrip and lowered rear.. .

Then about 3 weeks ago I took her off the road and stored her in a mates unit. Worked a few nights a week and this was as far as we’d got a couple of days ago . . .

The spec list below should include everything that was added but im sure ive forgotten something! Just fitted new hubs this weekend, ready for the conversion(Y).

Nopes not had any problems with the lights so far but i see what u mean. The Smooth front grille is up at the unit atm. Just went off it tbh. Made it look all curvy and i wanted the evil look wich is hard on a micra lol. And yes currently building a turbo setup(Y)

Thanks for the comments(Y) riite due to a few delays with my new setup etc im needing a four branch manifold. Sold the janspeed to get some money together for the turbo setup but now im needing the car back:glare:. So has anybody got a second hand four branch?? or could please point me in the right direction? Not too fussed on condition as wont be used for long hopefully(Y).

Colour coded some interior bits today after work so will get pictures up soon(Y)

Hi everyone(Y) Just Got back from the newark show. Saw a few K10's and some K11 owners wich was nice to see. Thanks for the comments aswell. Riite i'll get some interior pictures up tnite, aswell as a pictures of few purchases from the show. The springs i used to lower it are from a nissan skyline R33. I Havnt got round to measuring the difference from these and the standard springs so not sure how much its lowered by yet:glare:. Thanks again.

Standard R33 springs or aftermarket? How do they sit in the cups? And any further info on the R33? (eg what year?)

Hi robert, these are aftermarket springs, from a lowering kit a guy had in the unit next door to ours. Then he went coilovers i believe and i used them on this. I dont know the year off the top of my head but im up there tommorrow nite so i'll ask then. They seem to fit fine in the rear cups. They have like a billet spacer that the bottom hoop sits into, and adjusters that sit into the top of the spring. I'll take a side out tommorrow nite and take pictures just for you(Y). Thanks

Updates:laugh:. First a few pictures of the interior, not very tidy as just got back from the trip to newark and havnt had time to clean.

Doorcards etc. .

Centre console. .

Now got a vacuum gauge mounted onto the dash, this is linked to a vacuum pipe coming from the inlet manifold. Pretty cool to watch the needle boosting when i boot it(Y). Not a very tidy installation as we were working our way through the beers when it was bought.

And another newark purchase. A sportex Cherry bomb style backbox. Hopefully should get me some popping etc on the over-run lol. Not bad for £20i didnt think. Picture makes the end look bigger than it is to be honest. Not a "chavvy" backbox up close, just give me more noise to go with the looks:laugh:.

Think thats the lot for tonight! Backbox will be fitted tommorow nite hopefully.

Well not much to update atm. havnt been able to get the exhaust done yet as moving house at the moment. Any suggestions to future mods would be great as im racking my brains atm(Y).

The "Bomb" bit in the title will give you an idea!
I heard a 2000 MK1 Escort with one of these,you definately would not be able to creep up on anyone!
You could tone it down a bit by using another small silencer further back if you've done a full de-cat.If you've still got the secondary cat it will act as a silencer anyway.

P.m sent steve(Y). Well finally got moved into the new house etc so can start updating now lol. Made quiet abit of progress in the past few weeks.

* Front bumper cut out
* Sabelt harnesses fitted
* Exhaust fitted
* Painted the wheels
* Purchased a turbo, oil cooler, and oil lines.

Im sure theres more lol. I know it useless without pics so i'll upload some tonight(Y)

I think it sounds really good tom, Not that loud in my opinion really. And i get a few pops and bangs wich was what i was looking for. The neighbours probably have a different opinion to me though!

Updates!!!

About time I updated this finally! Just been so busy. But anyways here we are.. .

Cut out the already “open mouth” front bumper… And then took a load of the paint off the side after hitting a grass bank in the wet! Could have been alot worse though. .

Then fitted these Sabelt harnesses. £10 for both pairs!! Bargain I thought, not in mint condition but not far off!

Next I painted these silver/chrome lips on my wheels. Not the best of jobs but was sick of them looking like steelies from a distance lol. Think they will be going all black again soon as im not a big fan of the silver. .

And the exhaust finally got fitted aswell!! Pictures don’t do it justice to be honest, looks loads better imo. Welded it up and had it exiting at an angle as I’ve always liked the look of this. And as stated earlier it really isn’t that overly loud, just rite for me (Y).

Riite I believe that’s it for now. Sorry for the poor pics but couldn’t move the car onto the road to get better pictures lol. Thinking about spraying the whole car black. What does everybody think?? Any keen photo shoppers out there??

Thanks sleeper. Yeah, i have been thinking about either matt black, gloss black, or white with white wheels. But would love somebody to photoshop this for me. Been talking to frank and seem to have a few ideas for the engine now, maybe not a turbo setup after all, a n/a screamer maybe? So yes a small turbo setup could be looking for a home lol
