what did you do to your micra today ?

The autotest @oxford man, do you need a license or anything. is it suitable for a car which cannot go rallying?

No licence needed, but will need to be a club member (£17.50 a year see http://www.oxfordmotorclub.co.uk/membership/ ) free BBQ, details are here http://www.oxfordmotorclub.co.uk/autosolo/ regs are here http://www.oxfordmotorclub.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/Grass-Autotest-regs.doc just £10 to enter the event.

Yep ideal for standard road cars (although very low ones will struggle in the grass field), probably the best type of event to start in, great fun, plenty of chance to abuse the handbrake and have a laugh. If you do come along i can help with setup, driving tips etc....

Anyone else want to come along and show good Micra's can be autotesting ?

Also should have said the rally car will be at the MSA Go Motorsport Live show at Silverstone on 7th July.

P.S. Thanks re the blog :)

Wdid? Full service, oil filter, fuel filter and oil change plus some injector cleaner in the tank. Didn't do the air filter though as its only 3 weeks old anyway. My car is now fresh and happy again :)

Spoken to the garage doing the odd jobs for the Micra.... They have done the exhaust work i.e. making the cat replacement pipe but they don't seem able to fit the front wishbones into the press to remove the bushes (ones with the bolt through them). So looks like i will have to do this ( i don't have a press), anyone done this before and got any tips, needs to be done to fit the polybushes, and done before i seam weld them up.

I raised my gearbox. Prepped engine to be dropped in and got the rear setup raised into place ready to be mounted :D
Updating nissanubaru blog soon

Do you need to keep the old bushes? id cut one side of them off, stick a long bolt through with a large socket on the other end to push against and tighten a nut on the end of it to pull it through.

Wdid?

I am still helping with my cousin's shop to refurbish so it will be finish in two weeks time. My other cousin came with his latest BMW M3 so he haven't show me when he bought it on that day. I was so desperate to see his m3 so finally, he took me for a spin. It's soo unbelievable! I was so happy to see his m3 and I was over the moon. Any no updates on my Micras yet so in soon, I will. :)

No need to keep the bushes, got plenty lying around from the old rover rally car.

Did you make one cut or to cuts tow move a section of the bush?

There's quite a few foglight switches on ebay I've seen whilst browsing. As for the wiring loom, is it the joining loom that runs across the front between the lights. If so its only a couple of wires, and the plug can be sourced from the scrapyard.

The one missing plug comes with the engine fusebox full loom
