Had a look at a few induction systems last night, there's a lot to choose from.
Thinking of the piper-cross filter, you can fit it into the standard box, and get a 30% increase in airflow....according to the blurb.
Any-body on here tried it?
So many to choose from, metal, foam, mushroom, cone, ram air, and so on. Who on here has the best one ?? or think they have the best one???
Also ordered 10mm wheel spacers, waterproof car cover, waterproof seat covers (for my dogs) Other stuff as well....but forgot what I ordered now (senior moment LOL) I'll get around to fitting it eventually. Re-doing my kitchen at this time.....I love decorating....really I do :D

Get an air box off a 1.6 almera and some pipe for a cold air feed

Hi mate do you like decorating as much as: pre-shampooing rinsing, shampooing, chamois, polishing and extra gloss protection coating the exterior, full engine bay valet and then a interior full vac, upholstery shampooing and carpet, dash and trim treatment and glass polishing your Micra lol! :p

Andy :D

My sills are rusted inner on drivers and ordered my sills but they outer sills only so where do I start @frank as said cut the rot out but it seems so much to tackle and Nissan don't do inner sills

I'd rather decorate my whole house than do that

Why???? what are the benefits???? that's what I need to know please.
Will that give me a 30% increase in airflow?
When I dyno'd my 1.0, (K11C, 59 bhp stock) with a cherry bomb back box (probably losing power) and a GA16 Airbox it made 63.9bhp.

With just a GA16 Airbox and a "more free flowing exhaust" 3 or 4 people have seen over 90bhp with their 1.3's

I'd imagine on the 1.4 the gains would be even greater.
I'd highly recommend a GA16 airbox and maybe stick a pipercross filter in that, although they are £35! :)

Going to go look at a little micra for the misses that's the exact same as mine was with a dented wing, going for £200 with less miles than mine! Eaaaaasy

I am always one for a restoration project and my one weakness and failing is to decide when it's better to move on, sometimes you have to look at what you can achieve and what you can physically and financially put into a restoration project and if needed cut your loses and move on to a more realistic restoration project! Mate that's a lot of corrosion and I will be the first to applaud you if you have the will and determination to carry out such a restoration project!

Good luck and please keep us updated?

Thanks for sharing.

That's buggered.

The suspension mounting point and ALL the surrounding metal has rotted away.

Sorry to say it but after you see people picking up mint cars for £200, this one is past saving....

That’s the most rotted Micra I’ve ever seen in 18 years of using and maintaining these things. Jacked up with the inner and outer sill’s non-existent the chassis and wheels may now be misaligned?

Perhaps it’s time to consider letting that one go as it’s more efficient use of one’s time and resources to buy a useful good Micra with long MOT for not much more than its scrap value?

Last year’s MOT tester on that one must be the most lenient in the UK and it may be advisable to avoid any second-hand cars with an MOT from that garage?

Nothing wrong with rust, or rot every cars rot and if u got a welder and a folder with some sheetings it's good as new, may take a week or 2 but I know the car will be brand new under neat, and paint having full spray up, I had this for 1 years in back garden that's why it has rotten even more and no mot for 2 years, it's not that simple to get a cheap Micra as mines it's special to me if u dig info or more about me maybe u will bite ur teeth lol

Blinking hell, thought I had found the "one" with my betty, but NO!!!!
Mooching around the usual car sites last night, looking for another micra for the missus, AND, found a sport+ with two doors!!!!
That's the one I want, I really, really want (nearly broke into the spice girls there!!!) it was in blue, not the colour I want, but did not know they came in two door. If it was black, I'd be flying up to Leicester right now.
So my search will continue until I find one (if I last long enough) if I find one....I'll have it.

I know that feeling - bought an 'ok' Sierra Saf (had been resprayed, but could do with a good cut).
I pulled the carpet out and found the odd rust spot - once I cut that 1" square, it turned into 1', then more - whole floor pan was rotten from the in-side out and no way to tell from the outside other than another tiny rusty bit under the passenger footwell.
Toyed with the idea of replacing the floor pan, then found the sills were as bad - entire lower section was tin-foil thin.

I'm dredding the same as Azzydot on Micra #2, but I'm a bit more comfortable sorting that. (Plus I don't have the disposable income like I did then, so it's no choice to fix!)
