what did you do to your micra today ?

wdidt....

i managed to smash inside of the dent so it was so hard time for me. it was okay but there is more works to do.
bad luck for me again... i stabbed with flat screwdriver so there is water inside of both sills. :( Its time to replace new sills and driver rear wing soon. i need to find a good welder and to get a good price. :(
 
Wdid? Got my tracking done, with laserssss!! How exciting!
Pretty good i did actually it was miles out! Now its all lined up nicely and i discovered the interestingness of my camber figures... 2.28deg on the left and 2.11deg on the right. Adjustments shall happen at some point but tbh thats not too different and its the alignment that really counts. Lucky i have nankangs, if id gone with toyos theyd have been scrubbed out already!

He told me that he hasn't had the time as yet to sort it out but the plan is to replace the wood across the roof (as the current lot is all curling at the edges)
sand it down and put on some proper protective stuff (ronseal perhaps?)
Then he's gonna strip the paint off the front end of the car (which made me shudder) and let it go Rusty...Wonder if he's seen Dougy's old bonnet for inspiration? :p
HE then told me that as the bumper is plastic, it won't rust...oddly enough...so they're gonna paint it a rust effect...I told him to sell the Super S bumper with the fogs on ebay and get one off a base model if he's just gonna ruin paint it ;)
I did mention to him that I'd have the spoiler off him...he noted that it wouldn't fit mine (K12) but I told him I knew at least 6 or 7 people that would rip my arm off for one of those...so I'm keeping an eye on ebay ....again LOL

by the way...silly me forgot to give him the web address here...so I'm gonna have to go back round there sometime :rolleyes:
with any luck he'll find us ;)

Still prepping my Alloys for spraying been to halfords n picked up primer n heavy duty pu lacquer. I'm gonna go gold with the colour i think, however can't find gold alloy wheel spray paint. Halfords don't sell it, tried motosave no luck also tried a few local spare parts shops and still no luck. Help please magic micra owners, where do i get the paint from??? Cheers..

Aah interesting, Would it flake? chip easy as it's not designed for wheels or are the manufacturers just ripping folk off by naming the paints differently

Obviously if you're gonna drive into kerbs it'll chip, as will wheel paint, but as long as your preparation is sound and you give it a good clear coating its fine. Other option is Ebay, you'll be inundated with gold wheel paint :D

I usually get about 250 miles from 26-27l combined driving without too much right foot. yours is a bit low unless youve been ragging it a bit?

Edit: on my last run i did 270 miles on 26.4l and that was mostly motorway with a top speed blatt in the middle showing off to hannah :p
 
I dunno how good k10's usually are but i'd say thats not like epicly bad or anything, if its a lot of stop start the little 8v engine will be using a lot of fuel revving to pull away and will want more throttle to accelerate than our k11's as it makes less power.

I'm finding my k11 has way worse fuel consumption than the 10. I try and drive this economically for that reason but it doesn't seem to help :confused: The k10 got ragged and still did more mpg's :D

probably you ade :p give it a good service it'll feel better! I'm getting pretty good mpg with this jap engine, even on the low ratio 1l box i am stuck with

also the k11 fuel gauges lie like a cornered chav.
