One for Frank?

I'm looking for ways to increase power output without going for forced induction. Does anyone know the distance between the big and small end bearings for CG10 or CG13 rods?

Frank - you must have a set of pistons and rods lying around somewhere?

Hope nobody minds me introducing myself with a question like this. I've lurked here (and on .com.au) for a fair while, but this is the first time I have had occasion to post on this forum.

im not frank but ill have a go at answering, lol

start with cams, maybe an exhaust too, some people have used 1.6 injectors and throttle body, however to gain the most from these mods ideally you would need a remap,

not sure on the big end bearings but the little end are the same, so too are the 5 crank main bearings, so id assume there the same.

hi red menace :)
i assume you want the measurement between the big and little ends ?
its hard to measure that, but i get the amount of metal between them to 90,4mm for the 1.3, and 99.1 for the 1.0, a difference of nearly 9mm.
but you could work it out anyway from the strokes, because there is the same 19mm of piston crown on both engines
(but the 1.4 has a shorter crown and longer stroke, but same rod as a 1.3) :)
