WOW! i am loving that, if you got some clear rear lights would look very nice with that colour..I quite like the front aswel, gives it an interesting twist..

dan - yeah different wheels are a must! been looking for ages for some, will totally make it a diff car once we find the right ones.

gstar - no way am i doing light conversions again! total ballache! i dont think it needs it now anyway, the front end looks perfect imo.

glenn - not sure about clear rears, might do a 'shop. theyre painted red atm which actually looks pretty cool.

thanks for all the input guys.

oh and btw the missus is loving it! made me nick her mams passenger seat just so we could go out in it last night!

nex - youd be right about the cream and blue, check the pics here, we won a full 98 porsche 944 cream leather interior off ebay for £102 a few weeks back...her dads retrimmed the centres mmm...

heres a few more random pics as usual...

haha its in bassmechanix already, mine goes in on monday might see it around, whats it getting done? I need to get my handbrake sorted so it will stay on the ramp lol

Actually looking at it now with reg plates on and all finished off it doesn't look like it needs a splitter. It all goes together very, very well!!! Love it, fair lay for trying something different, it has pulled it off very nicely. :D Love it!!! Interior looks kool too.

spot on stu, its been a brilliant read this thread has, all id do is get some centre caps for those wheels and not touch it again apart from an install

good work

ill have to get my lass signed up on here, she goes mad with me when people think its my car!

ben, it was in at bassmechanix getting a toad alarm fitted, spot on for £150!

desperately need some new alloys like, 14" dished ones are what were after.

i still cant find the passenger side fog lamp connector, someone help!

nope!

well spose we'll see come mot time next year. got a standard bonnet i can hoy on if it does fail like.

still got a couple issues with the headlight electrics playing up. gonna take em back out and put some new connectors on and check all earths.

Try just driving it up to a flat wall at night and checking the kick up against the wall. Not accurate enough for MOT, but if there's no kick up at all will save you the cost of a re-test.

I have headlight issues too :( my connectors seem to like melting themselves

well, we got the porsche seats eventually fitted at 10pm on friday night, jumped in to drive home, click the seatbelt in...####!

forgot to bolt the micra seatbelts clips to the porsche seats! what a bummer!

so think were taking the seats out today to try and sort it, fingers crossed.

they look good like, but her dad isnt happy with the passenger base trim so wants to redo that.

seats and seatbelt clips are in!!

drivers seatbelt clip went straight onto the seat, same bolt size and everything!

passenger seat didnt even have a bolt hole! so i used a strap of metal bolted to the rear central subframe bracket. worked pretty well...

hey stew that looks great! i like what you did with everything can tell alot of time and effort has gone into that.

iv got a spare super s front bumper which i want some work done to it, similar to what you did to your one you reckon you can do it for me sometime?

im living in sheffield now for a few months so i could come n drop it off to you, what do you reckon? if so drop me mail on [email protected]

thanks

to do it like the blue one hmmm....

flush tailgate - £100-150
delocked - £50-100
ariel smoothed - £50-60
side strips removed - free, do it yourself
bonnet and wing extension - £200-250
smoothed bumpers - £150-200

thats about it i think!

then more prep and paint.

obviously will cost less getting it all done at once.

small update for lauras k11...

bought some rare mattig m2 mirrors with fiesta base plates off a mate the other day, thought they might give the sides a bit of a different twist.

so fitting! the fiesta base plates are at least twice the size of k11 ones so i decided to try and use some standard k11 mirrors and chop the about. after a bit of messing about i had the mirror off and sanded the base plate down level.

im planning on smoothing the mirrors to the base plates but yesterday i only got as far as securing the mirror to the baseplate as i didnt have the car to check they looked ok.

heres a few pics anyway!...
