what did you do to your micra today ?

I wasn't driving so cant comment, it was Suze's turn to drive. I was on the maps.

Didnt notice any issues, but then it only did it on part throttle and there was no part throttle stuff today ;)

Suze didnt comment on any issues driving there or home, so at the moment who knows. I will run the diagnostics checks on the maf and lambda, but suspect now it may be the mapping a bit out at that load/rev point.

i doubt if the lambda will come in to play at full throttle with the nistune anyway matt (speed sensor disconnected) mine certainly does,nt
and the lambda over-rides the mapping at part throttle :)

Right....I think I've found the reason for my uneven rear arch gaps...I swapped the springs and shocks to opposite sides and it still happened, low on the right, high on the left...so the only thing it can be is the link arms...so I checked and the right side I can lift up and down easy but the left side gets harder as it moves up...you know the feeling of pushing against a rubber bushing...anyways, I thought I could just undo them and free them up but the bolts are all rock solid....so I've sprayed every bit of every link with grease and left it for a bit...hopefully that'll sort it....

Angle grinder :p x

done fake floor, need new sub wires, had a huge clean and covered my crappy sharpie infested arches with stickerbomb and not sure if i like it or not, looks a bit weird but still looks better than bright green sharpie -.-

Will update soon, life with SirChris is just a bit manic haha. Wasn't massively slower than a 210hp scirocco earlier though which is pretty cool.
Some mild overheating on this engine too (while under high load for prolonged periods of time).
Would bypassing the heater matrix by joining the inlet and outlet on the engine for the heater on the engine by looping them together with a hose cause coolant to bypass the radiator?

no the heater matrix circuit runs parallel to the coolant return pipe.

check if your radiator is blocked (hose flow test) or damaged (too many bent fins restricting air flow) or the thermostats stuck closed or the block coolant jacket is blocked.or water pump is flow fast enough.
if the rad needs replacing, perhaps try a thicker k11 auto rad? prob overkill for NA but tis a good cheap upgrade.

Rad is fine, was just checking thanks :) suspect my smart *rse flow meter or a vac leak feeding unmetered air now.

I know that some plastics used in signage have two colours ...one under the other ...could be very useful, you would know the colours??????
Anyways, I'll give you a shout when I am near to completing the jig, all you would need is a template for designing on, could be used many times for sure.
I'm babbling on a bit now, but I know what I mean ( I think)

Nope, never used material like that. Sounds good though! It's got to be worth a trip to a laser cutter to get a master made so if you need help with creating the right drawings, give me a shout. The software I use can export to the dwg format that they'd need. Also, I know a chap who's just bought a laser cutter and installed it in his garage!

Hello wagoner. Had a bit of a go today with the first template ....broke it halfway through cutting - whoops, brittle stuff.
Going to find the laser cutting company this week to see what they say. Also, it looks like there maybe 4 different design of speedo head - sod it, but as you say...make one you're on the way.

Unpacked all the wheels/tyres and service kit and managed to snap the indicator stalk off?

Are they all the same? Do i need one of thsame year or pre-face lift?

....and which part of Blurple's delicate underside do you suggest grinding??? :O

Fuel gauge is alway gassing around man. Maybe, you got some water and dirt stuff in your tank. I need to check mine in July time.

What you on about JK?

Looks to me as if he just posted it to see how many miles he done, doesn't look broken to me

Me and r reg was talking about mpg and tank capacity before. I know his pictures got so many reasons to say. You said about miles and I said about mpg and fuel gauge.

I am trying to work out with my mpg and fuel tank capacity. (it said you can put 42l in so my tank can get up to 38l average)

went to meet in swindon and the micra nearly made love to a bmw doing a big ass burnout, close is not the word hahaha, was too busy taking pictures of it than worrying about my car being dossed into though!

Done a bit of research via ebay, and it seems the one I need is the pre face lift / pre '96 ('95 car) - Is this right ?

Anyone got one for sale before i hit ebay ?

Also today i looked at the large pile of bits to list on ebay, which includes many Micra parts - should be getting on with that this week.
