...Greedy Barstuard LOL ^_^

Not done anything to my baby, only driven 100 miles since my MOT and she's filthy but with only 5 days left at my job i'll have all the time in the world to give her a nice bath and a gool ol' shammy :p
...but, when i got home from work this evening my dad said "Hmmmph...Mum's exhaust's gone"....gone?....gone where?
The front box is busted out.... (she has a K12 SVE) oh....right, guess i'll be driving around to parts direct in a week or so...seeing as her MOT is due now too :(

I agree too greedy he should give us one :) lol

One thing.... JEALOUS :D great power there! I should be at 1.3 power in the next few weeks (assuming i get the conversion sorted) 75 bhp(1.3) instead of the 50 from 1.0 is gonna be a nice jump for now i think, really wanna seek that 100 milestone though soon... gonna need more spending for that though as my lil 160mm clutch wont handle it :( need a later model gearbox and 180mm clutch for that

Cheers, the 1.3's are a big difference to the 1.0ltrs, getting a hundred bhp shouldnt be too hard and for some reason my clutch is 190mm but im not complaining with the **** it can take lol

When I decide that money is no longer an issue in my life, i will give you all one. :p
1 each Belly huh? :p
Now got a 3 door then Chris? she looks lovely ;)
next addition's gotta be a K10?...right? ^_^
Exactly! Been looking for good k10 for a while! Cannot seem to find a good quality one :(
I spotted that, maybe it's an anti-theft measure... That or he's taken driving on the edge to a whole new level: Driving on the edge of the passenger seat :p
JDM = Drifting for the passenger seat. Na took it off the rails got buckets to go in! But It did cross my mind that it is a good way to stop people stealing the car....
Maybe it's camera shy? o_O
Yeah why not lool!

This morning I drove it to get Christmas decorations and sang my wee heart out to Christmas songs on the radio :D nothing wrong with a bit of Christmas spirit!

Keen indeed :p
Well...this one on ebay/trojan cars Portsmouth (a K10) is a bit...expensive <_<... but i've had a look at it in person she just needs a new front bumper and the wheels could do with a lick of paint...29,000 miles since 1987 ^_^
Do not tempt me jen... I will come down there buy the car and steal you... We will be in Italy by the time interpol even have chance to set off.

my gf wants a fiat 500 -___-

I like the way there's alot of exposed painted bits in the cabin but other than that i have to agree with Jen .

*Hi 5* Guy
...although I must say The old/original 500 is okay...same as the old Mini, is fine ....and the old Beetle...etc....see where i'm going with this? ^_^

Agree Jen, One of mum's mates had a VW 'Beetle'. It had FAR less room in it than a Micra (K11 or K12) and it was based on a Golf so was slow as hell. Why bother?!

I never understood why the Beetle was never done as a 4 door?...there's enough body length, surely? and with all the other decent VW's? such a waste <_<
My mum originally wanted a beetle, she was obsessed, luckily me and dad persuaded her to go with the SVE and she would never change that now ^_^

WDIDT? rasied the bonnet a few mm, painted one steelie white, didnt like it... popping down halfrauds now to get some gloss bl;ack and laquer

So today my new straight edge and feeler gauges turned up so I was able to test my head (not actually my head but the cylinder head off my car!) for straightness, tested it over and over in every direction and it checks out ok :D Happy days. Sorry for no pics but I dont think they would have been very exciting tbh ;)

HAd a look up on how to swap pistons :0 think i might end up using this approach
IMAG0309.jpg

as i dont have the gear to set up a snazzy jig and apparently this does the job
(picture is from i jonez's blog)

Yeah that did cross my mind, i think i'd curve it and use cloth between the two.

mind you apparently when heated the pin comes out easy so maybe not to much of a risk

When heated frank says you get a split second to knock it out! Frank made me a tool for removing the pins and it worked spot on, shaped like a teardrop with a hole in it for the pin to be pushed out. Also had nuts welded on and threaded bar so basically you sat the piston in and wind it whilst in a vice and it pushed the pin out

Ooh that sounds neat! maybe have to look into that, did he want much for it?
