Left the handbrake cables for another day. For when my exhaust needs replacing because it's snapped, that day. At least the hand brake actually locks up now! Also took a photograph of my office..

That looks very, very neat.

Damn you... Done any more events with the 1.3?

saturday tested the car and made it go to red light, was curious what the red light looks like and its a scary exerience haha, then today went to bristol meet, dont like avonmeads speedbumps at all... apparently the green beast got alot of attention and a few pictures, must be the granny porn petrol cap!

Removed the idler pulley, PAS pump, AC pump and water pump from the engine. Fitted the shorter belt but the tensioner on the alternator side is on the idler pulley. Doh! Will source or make an adjustable alternator bracket.
Removed impellor from the water pump and modified:

No welding required, a 30mm core plug will fit perfectly in the bearing seat to make the unit watertight again :)
Making progress ;)

Had a fiddle with the speedo head, got it working, then not working, and so on. Looks like I need to jam a bit of wood or something in between the scart holder and outer cover, seems to be a bit loose.
Fitted my blue lcd's while I had it out. That's in preparation for my attempt at changing the colour of my speedo face - should be fun.
Also, ordered a cone filter from Amazon, it had rave reviews, so, I thought - why not, £8 all in, so no loss if its not up to scratch.

Stripped the speedo head down, looks like circuit break or sumfink, squeeze the two parts together and it works ! have to have a look again, also, the speedo needle appears to be jammed, can you oil these things ? I can move it, but a bit tight compared to the other needles. How do you take the needles of the fascia, had a bit of a pull on them - but - they aren't moving
I've ordered another just in case.

Nothing actually to the car, but seemingly lots for the car.

Entered two events, Down Ampney Stages in Apil and a Targa Rally in March.

Also heading off late this afternoon to get two tyres sorted for this weekends Road rally - busy times !

Well you should.
Tape small pieces of paper to wherever you think could be leaking and you'll soon find out :)
Don't put one big sheet in as it'll just soak it all up
its only in the drfivers side rear no holes in the floor soundproofing behind dash and pedals is dry only other place i can think of is that whole

Got the tyres sorted, now all that is left to do is an engine oil and filter change and gearbox oil change on Friday afternoon. Please let it be dry then!
