also cleaned off as much of that horrid green gunk from the door jams and hatch lid etc....and gave those parts a good polish...

Unfortunately, whilst I seem to clean our cars better than my brother (the professional car veleter <_<),
...I take too long, because I'm a bit....particular *Facepalm*

...probably have to charge about £30 a car LOL :D

...you'd get to watch....Although, I'm not the kinda girl to do in a bikini top and daisy dukes :rolleyes:

If you could see the state of my baby you'd all have an apoplectic fit, she is absolutely hanging inside and out.
Full of doggie things (no puns;)) empty dog biscuit bags, etc, and outside - well - several dumps of seagull poop, they should make glue out of that stuff. I reckon I could leave her unlocked anywhere and nobody would pinch her, be afraid of what they'd catch:)

It's not girly <_< ...there is no pink to be found, pink is not permitted within 20 feet of her :p

I've had the Superman Mats for years...I'm not sure I didn't get them when I still had my K10 actually (2005/2006)

...Was a little annoyed that I had to cut them to fit my K12, but they've still held up well for...7 or 8 years? Bargain bin in Halfords too...they were reduced from £29.99 to £19.99

then I picked up a Superman chrome effect air freshner, 20p at a car boot sale, which has been stuck on my dash since 2008 (in my K11)
....has never smelt of anything, and if you look in the gap at the back is still full of the gel stuff...it must be broken LOL

then dad brought home a pair of seat covers with the logo embroidered in them, for 50p from a Jumble sale...as I have side airbags, and they looked cheap :p ...I decided to cut them up and stitch them back together as cushions

...I also have an assassin Meerkat in there too...I made his outfit, not because I'm a girl, because I'm a nerd :D

Some people pay extra for particular... Plus daisy dukes are bad for car washing, the studs on jeans tend to kill paintwork. Bikini top never crossed my mind, I'm shocked you'd think so little of me :O

TV has melted my brain...that's what the cheerleaders do to raise money for the prom, car washing, without any practical clothing in sight :p

ETA: I suppose I know what I'll be spending most of my time doing if I ever make it to JAE ;)
 
Hmm...lots of my neighbours keep saying they'd love me to wash their cars with as much care as I wash my own...but they would never pay me for the privilage... <_<
and...although a tempting idea, there are at least 4 of those "hand car wash" places within 1 mile of my house...and they do a pretty good job....pretty darn cheap

mostly as the workers are probably on well below minimum wage :oops:

Most of those places won't wax your car, or even use a clay bar on it before polishing, just polish grit into your paint and leave it open to attack. Also having a car you can go to your customers, so they can stay at home and admire their shiney car in their driveway without it getting dirty and dusty on the drive home. You can always find a niche to fill :)

I'll see if I get an interview this week at the place I handed my CV to yesterday, then I'll have to get me a proper clay bar, new Chamois, plus the nice wax and go pro on my local car population ;)

I watched that program about dirty britain or something, and they spoke to a guy who has a spot in an exclusive underground car park in london where you can have a space for your Maserati, only £6,000 a year :O
really interesting stuff....shame he has a girlfriend/wife already :p

Regrettably i won't be making it to JAE myself this year cause i'll be working, but that does mean i'll come back to the next meet with a freshly modified and pretty looking car :) since i'll finally have money!
 
Well, bit the bullet and cleaned the inside of the car, PHEW!!!! Jens fault for showing how clean hers was:p shamed me into it, first time since last October (true) I found the spray thing that's missing from the bonnet, so worthwhile just for that.
Anyway, still could not find the airbag wire, so took the dogs out for a couple hours. When I got home my daughter and her hubby were here visiting before they go to USA next week for a holiday, told the story of the airbag light. BANG, he was all over my car like a Rottweiler, couldn't find it either !!! So we/he had a look at the missus's micra, nope could not find it!!!
He then had the brainwave to look at their car (Nissan Note) Yup there it was, gave us the position of the wire in the micra's.
Found it, a little cut out in the middle of the floor covered with carpet, pushed his finger through and we have it. Strange thing though, in the Note it had a cable going up to the seat, in both micra's no cable connecting to the seat, how the hell does that work then ????

Ignore the little dent on the boot it bugs me but shouldn't be there much longer :D and theres a few 10p sized ones on the side ( wasn't me :p)

Bought a spoiler on E bay, bigger than the last one, you know the nice looking one. £25 inc postage - happy with that. I think the last one I put on was for a K 10, that's a goner now.
