LED indicators seem bright enough ;-)

Thanks Jay :)
No it's just a cheapo ebay filter - and tbh the car hasn't been "properly" driven yet due to it currently being sorned- but seems ok, only thing really is there's a lot of drone on idle, but that'll be down to the diameter of the pipework I used more than anything else.

Thanks Chris- was wondering when someone would pop up and sort that for me :)

no problem. looks the part. iv been thinking of the cotton green ones, you heard anythng about them or anything? cant wait to see this finished

In all fairness I'd have preferred a cotton green cone, but just couldn't justify the money for one.

It's something I'd probably buy when and if I get round to turboing the engine, but for now I'm just trying to get it roadworthy and looking well :p

Crossed a fairly big job (in terms of the way the car looks at least) off the list today, and test fitted the wheels.
I have been using them on my mx5, but since that'll be going up for sale soon they've found their new home on my micra.
For anyone who's interested they are Konig Rewind, 15x7 et20, running Yokohama parada spec 2's on a 195/50/15

...the paint arrived :)

Also acquired some corsa b rear shocks and a set of four alto rear springs, so brakes and suspension will be next on the list :)

The alto springs that are destined for the fronts were in much better condition- just needed a quick clean up and a blast of paint to keep them neat...

Got half of the front suspension done the other night, only to find upon removing the drivers side that the shocker was fubar'ed - fingers crossed a courier will be turning up shortly with a brand new set for me to fit :)

The passenger shock was the first time I've ever done a front spring/shock- so it took a while- 3hrs to be precise.
Reckon I've got the technique down now so hoping to have both fronts whipped off, rebuilt and back on inside two hours... Then I can make a start on the rears

Fronts are now done, and the passenger side rear done- no pics of it looking low yet but will take some when I can.

Meanwhile-

Got this to fit once the rear struts and springs are done :)

Descovered a leak from behind the glovebox a few weeks back when I pressure washed the car.
I think it was coming from these two bits in the scuttle panel:

The rubber seals behind the windscreen stay and plastic trim clip holder, had both perished- and unfortunately sit directly above the inlet for the heater matrix:

Bit of tiger seal soon sorted that though ;-)

A little over two fingers worth of gap in the rears now :)

Hehe- yours can be big Charlie if you like :p

Got some more updates to put on the thread actually, but been a bit caught up with my mx5 as some pillock plowed into the side of me on a pushbike (couldn't have come at a worse time as I'm trying to sell it!), so trying to get the repairs done on that - will aim to update the blog again tonight...

Thanks for all the positive comments guys :)
Gonna have some more updates this evening hopefully.
I'm now £359 into my budget, and :rolleyes:106 days in to the build;
Still a fair bit to do before show season!

Not sure if it's possible, but I've seen it done on other Nissan models- plan is to split the lenses, remove the coloured filters and create clear lights...
...failing that they'll get put back together, the reversing lense tinted red and the indicator section tinted black...

Ahh right, sounds cool! Tinting the reverse red was exactly what I was thinking too. But i was wondering won't it make the reverse light pink?
