Rev counter dropping at 4k

Hi I just installed an after market rev counter and wired to dizzy but drops out at 4k this red/yellow wire I wired to ? I put a volt meter on it and read at like 1- 1.7 v Have I attached it to the correct wire ?

I used one of the wires off the small 2 pin plug off the distributor and it works fine

Blue wire on the small plug on top of the dizzy,

Thanks for that it started working then cut out found loose connection internal on tachometer :/ now contact in seller
