Nissan Micra K11 - Slovenia

Hi guys!

My name is Alexander and im from Slovenia. I own a 94' Nissan Micra K11. It's a 1.3 manual.

Well i got my Micra from my mom. She was the 2nd owner
of the car. My grandmother bought it back in 94' and was
the 1st owner. It's a great car. As soon as i became the owner
i started working on it with the help of Slovenia's Nissan & Infiniti forum: http://www.nissan-si.net/forum/

I spet quite alot of money for making this car run now like
a charm....and i LOVE it!

The engine till now is a stock CG13DE, but im hoping soon
for NA tuning on the CG or maybe a GA16DE swap. SR20DE would be awesome fun but crazy :)

Here is the list of the mods and add-ons i have now:

Audio setup:
-Ground Zero sub
-Ground Zero amp
-Balupunkt Sevilla MP38
-Aviator front speakers & tweeters

Exhaust setup:
-Remus exhaust

Till now runing stock manifold and stock exhaust pipes. Hoping soon for 4-2-1 manifold and DECAT fi50 pipes with NA tuning on the CG13DE or GA16DE/SR20DE swap....we'll see :)

Chassis:
-H&R spring kit
-KYB Excel G gas suspension
-New stabilizer links
-New CV joints

Wheels & Tyres:
-Arcasting Excalibur 15" 7J rims
-Toyo Proxes 4 tyres (195/45/15)

Brake setup:
-Nissan Sunny N14 calipers
-Brembo discs (aircooled & 240mm...bye bye solid 234mm)
-Ferodo pads
-Castrol Response DOT4 brake fluid

Here are some pics:

Hi Alexzaki ! Like your pictures and the blue metalic color of your car.
What is funny is that I was watching your video on youtube last night (love when you drive under the yellow lightened tunnel) and was wondering from wich eastern european country you were from ! So it's Slovenia.
One more left driving Micra in the club :p
Cheers

More to come (Y)

See you around

Alex

you got some nice mods done to it. cant believe its a family owned car since it was new thats good is that. you should try some colour coding now :grinning:

@Seb_: So you came over that video on youtube.....hehe it's pretty old :wasntme:. How the hell you knew it's the same car? Probably by the username on youtube i guess :)

@Manny: If i'll do any colour coding it will be the bumpers....although they don't look bad in original black :)
Now it only has 118,000 km....runs like new. I got my licence 6 years ago, and it had back then ONLY 45,000km for a 94'.

In April as soon as the weather gets a little bit warm, i'll tint the glass and it'll probably make her more brutal grr

See ya ;)

Alex: I think I have seen ALL the K11 vids on youtube XD.

In April as soon as the weather gets a little bit warm, i'll tint the glass and it'll probably make her more brutal

The spring is going to be hella full of hot fine K11 work for everybody :D

Cheers!

Ok, finally something new on the K11. Yesterday i received my CAI by Toyosports from UK. This is how it looks on the K11:

img1434resize.jpg

img1437resize.jpg

img1442resize.jpg

img1445resize.jpg

img1446resize.jpg

img1447resize.jpg

Guess the next step will be cleaning under the hood, polishing the rocker cover, and maybe spraying it.

See you all soon ;)

I had a standard sport air filter mounted directly on the TB and it made different sound than this one. I like this one more grr. This one has more ROAR :p. Too bad its all snowy here, pushing the pedal too hard, and the wheels just spin :glare:

As for the battery its new. I had a Topla, and i soaked its juices in like 3 years. Probably because im running 45Ah battery w/ a sound system (woofer, amp...).

I bought that Bosch because many friends recommended it over Topla, but im worried because its also 45Ah. The problem with K11 is that they have small base to put the battery into. Probably you'd get a larger battery if you modify the base where you put the battery into :grinning:

In winter i take the alloys off and put 155/70/13 winter tyres :glare: On March the 15th, we can take the winter tyres off, and put back the summer tyres here in Slovenia

But as you see, there is still snow all around the car so i'll probably have to wait till the end of March

Ok, so today i did some work on the car and repainted my brake drums. They were rusty and looked bad after putting the rims back on.

Thats how the brake drum looked with the rim on:
img1502resize.jpg

The drum after removing the rim:

Grinded & ready for paint job:

The final product (i think it looks way much better than before):
img1519resize.jpg

See ya ;)

So i have been looking for some used bucket seats for my K11. All i have seen till now were seats in bad condition. Till i found those of the Suzuki Swift GTi. The guy wanted minimal money and i jumped straight ahead and bought them :)

That's how they look......i think will do much better in cornering than the original Micra seats of the LX model.

img1521resize.jpg

img1522resize.jpg

img1524resize.jpg

img1525resize.jpg

Now i'll have to figure out how to install them....just need some time probably hehe :)

Will report (Y)

So i'm reporting back......

Belive it or not those SSGTi seats took me and a friend 11 hours straight work to fit them in my K11. OMG we almost lost our minds and nerves!!

But now their in and we took it for a spin today and i just love the quality of the ride.

Here's some pics....

C ya ;)

Thanks man (Y)
Was checking your blog now and i like the white alloys...they fit your K11 pretty well (Y)

Hope my car glass will be tinted this month. Just have to make some arrangements and we'll see the final results grr

Will be back :upside:

OK, so a mini update :grinning:

Today i got my glass tinted. Im so pleased with the results grr

The pugi is my friends, 1.6 90bhp. The car is lowered on VMAXX springs and has KYB Excel G gas
suspension (same as mine). Gotta admit it, that my H&R springs are much much stiffer (sometimes annoying:p).

Greetings,
Alex

No change on the K11, just wanted to share the quick vid i made using a spy-cam that i recieved from ebay. Note that youtube drastically decreases video quality. I was actually pretty amazed from the original video i took:

And here's another one i took using my mobile. Today i went for a ride on some mountain roads and got the exhaust fully warmed up grr. Here's the Remus tone under low RPM (full DECAT soon :grinning:):

P.S: If anyone of the admins reading this, please could you move this to K11 Blogs?

Thanks,
Alex

Alex, I'm happy to see how much effort you put in you Micra. I'm pretty much the same :)
The car looks lovely! Keep up with the good work and updates!

I love the idea with the spy camera, man :)

Where did you get it?
I hope you don't mind if I do the same :):):)

Not a big update, but thats how the car stands atm :grinning: Recieved my clear side indicators from UK and a JDM shocker (Y)

Will update,

Greetings,
Alex

Funny it's from a NCVT (automatic gearbox) :) How much did he pay for it? And did you managed to set the good number of KMs on it ?
Cheers

Seb

The KMs that came with the gauge were 239k. Those on the pics are mine, and they are real because we are the first owners of the car (Y)

Yup, its from an automatic Micra i knew it straight from thr N-CVT thingy :), and he paid 30e for it. Its a rare rare item here in Slovenia, so i bought it from him straight away :p

So a little update. I recieved my aftermarket Sparco steering wheel :)

Will add some pics when it will be in place, but here are some for now...

Greetings,

So today after work, i got the steering wheel in place. Was a bit of a struggle removing the old one hehe :) but its a success in the end ;)

Pics are made with phone at night, so quality isnt the best:

Now, its time for a test ride :)

See ya,
Alex

eheh, just seen on the italian forum, very racing^^

for the interiors, it's time to change your rubber floor carpets with moquette ones

hehe :) I rather use those rubber ones because we have lot of rain in Slovenia and its easy to clean.....but maybe in summer i'll get new moquette ones :upside:

yeh them rubber ones have squares sloted on them that hold water and dirt/grit makes it much easyer to clean
and when washed dry realy fast--argos we love you
steering wheel color matches the rest of the interior nicely

Its way much better feeling. Its a 320mm steering wheel so its quite smaller than the original one. Now i have more area to turn the steering wheel so it means faster cornering. Im very pleased (Y)

So we had a Time Attack race here in Slovenia organized and i entered the competition with my K11. It was my first time to attend that track so i'm very very pleased with the results :)

Here's a pic of the track. It's called Raceland and it's located in Krško:

Here's a pic of the final timings:

time-attack-7-the-final-.png

- I drove 1:02 min so it's pretty good as my friend drives around 58 seconds in his Renault Clio RS (182) and those achieving under 58 seconds were driving on slick or semi slick tires...

Here's a couple of pics from that day:
