Hi guys!

My name is Alexander and im from Slovenia. I own a 94' Nissan
Micra K11. It's a 1.3 manual. I've been reading this forum for a
long long time and it's been a hell of a help to me
everytime i had a problem with my K11. There sure is alot of
iNFO here for Micra enthusiasts. Keep up the good work!

Well i got my Micra from my mom. She was the 2nd owner
of the car. My grandmother bought it back in 94' and was
the 1st owner. It's a great car. As soon as i became the owner
i started working on it with the help of Slovenia's Nissan & Infiniti forum: http://www.nissan-si.net/forum/

I spet quite alot of money for making this car run now like
a charm....and i LOVE it!

The engine till now is a stock CG13DE, but im hoping soon
for NA tuning on the CG or maybe a GA16DE swap. SR20DE would be awesome fun but crazy :)

Here is the list of the mods and add-ons i have now:

Audio setup:
-Ground Zero sub
-Ground Zero amp
-Balupunkt Sevilla MP38
-SPL Dynamics front speakers
-Aviator tweeters

Exhaust setup:
-Remus exhaust

Till now runing stock manifold and stock exhaust pipes. Hoping soon for 4-2-1 manifold and DECAT fi50 pipes with NA tuning on the CG13DE or GA16DE/SR20DE swap....we'll see :)

Chassis:
-H&R spring kit
-KYB Excel G gas suspension
-New stabilizer links
-New CV joints

Wheels & Tyres:
-Arcasting Excalibur 15" 7J rims
-Toyo Proxes 4 tyres (195/45/15)

Brake setup:
-Nissan Sunny N14 calipers
-Brembo discs (aircooled & 240mm....bye bye solid 234mm)
-Ferodo pads
-Castrol Response DOT4 brake fluid

Here are some pics:

@nsm: Really? The world seems pretty small, i agree hehe :). So do visit Slovenia then?

@Geoff W: Thanks man ;)

I read the specs on your Micra......damn, seems like it's screamer! I can't wait to either swap engines or go for NA. Hope to make mine at least around 110-115bhp (then the real fun should begin).

@fusca: The drop is 30mm. It's not a "lowrider" but i think 30mm suits
her pretty well :)

Just yesterday me and a friend were talking about engine mods and it will probably be something in that direction:

- Custom 4-2-1 manifold
- 50mm decat exhaust pipes
- Head porting
- Nissan Sunny 1.4 or 1.6 throttle body
- Nissan Sunny 1.6 Injectors
- Apexi s-AFC for optimization

Guess i'll start saving the money for that :)

@Micra_King: Jup, It's the original color. Actually when the car
is clean and polished....the color really shines ;)

Thanks for the info.
Put in my 1.3 injection almera 1.4 and also put the exhaust line of 45mm without catalyst and muffler without getting missing collectors 4-2-1.

Ok, finally something new on the K11. Yesterday i received my CAI by Toyosports from UK. This is how it looks on the K11:

Guess the next step will be cleaning under the hood, polishing the rocker cover, and maybe spraying it.

See you all soon ;)

Ok, so today i did some work on the car and repainted my brake drums. They were rusty and looked bad after putting the rims back on.

Thats how the brake drum looked with the rim on:

The drum after removing the rim:

So i have been looking for some used bucket seats for my K11. All i have seen till now were seats in bad condition. Till i found those of the Suzuki Swift GTi. The guy wanted minimal money and i jumped straight ahead and bought them :)

That's how they look......i think will do much better in cornering than the original Micra seats of the LX model.

img1521resize.jpg

img1522resize.jpg

img1524resize.jpg

img1525resize.jpg

Now i'll have to figure out how to install them....just need some time probably hehe :)

Will report :)

So i'm reporting back......

Belive it or not those SSGTi seats took me and a friend 11 hours straight work to fit them in my K11. OMG we almost lost our minds and nerves!!

But now their in and we took it for a spin today and i just love the quality of the ride.

Here's some pics....

Well, at first i wanted to do it the easy way. Fit the SSGTi seats on my original K11 rails. That didnt turn out pretty well, as the seats were then too hight. I could have cut the original K11 rails to reduce the height but i didnt want to destroy them. So the only remaining option was to install the SSGTi seats using the SSGTi rails.

The problem was that the SSGTi rails won't fit to the K11 floor, as the new rails were few cm wider than the K11 rails. So we hade to make custom parts using steel and aluminium to make the new rails fit onto the original drilled holes in the floor. Belive me it wasn't easy, but we did it somehow and most important out of all is that it works properply (doesn't crack, break, etc...) :)

Right now im in a hurry...must go to work :/ so i'll upload them pics for you tomorrow.

See ya,

@Micra_King: So here are the pics i promissed :) Hope they will make any sense :)

img1582resize.jpg

img1583resize.jpg

img1584resize.jpg

Front part:

That part i had to bend. Originally it was bent upwards, i bent it downwards to fit K11 drilled hole:
img1585resize.jpg

img1593resize.jpg

The Aluminium platform that connects the SSGTi rails to the K11 drilled holes in the front:
img1586resize.jpg

img1592resize.jpg

Back part:

Here we had to make parts using hard steel so that the seat won't bend or move. It had to be 100% firm. We used "S" shaped cut block, and a cube one to make the adjustments fit to K11 drilled holes.

img1595resize.jpg

img1596resize.jpg

img1598resize.jpg

img1599resize.jpg

We'll thats how you fit SSGTi seats in a K11 :) Im pretty sure, if you'll use any other seats it will be a completely different story :) but atleast you have some ideas how to fit other seats.

Greetings,

Alex

Well, i hope it never comes to an accident hehe :)

No really, the seats are 100% firm, i think you can hang the car from the seats :p When all the bolts were firmly tightened we tok it for trip (mountain roads, quick corners, hard braking, bumpy roads etc...) and everything was perfect.

On the pics it may seem like everything is loose, but belive me when all the bolts were tightened to the max the rails dont move a mm :)

Im pleased with the results and the way we figured that out.

Se ya ;)

OK, so a mini update :)

Today i got my glass tinted. Im so pleased with the results grr

The pugi is my friends, 1.6 90bhp. The car is lowered on VMAXX springs and has KYB Excel G gas
suspension (same as mine). Gotta admit it, that my H&R springs are much much stiffer (sometimes annoying :p).

So we had a Time Attack race here in Slovenia organized and i entered the competition with my K11. It was my first time to attend that track so i'm very very pleased with the results :)

Here's a pic of the track. It's called Raceland and it's located in Krško:

Here's a pic of the final timings:

time-attack-7-the-final-.png

- I drove 1:02 min so it's pretty good as my friend drives around 58 seconds in his Renault Clio RS (182) and those achieving under 58 seconds were driving on slick or semi slick tires...

Here's a couple of pics from that day:

Today me and a mate played a little with the car's lock. We put a blinking LED when the car's ignition is turned off. Looks like factory hehe :)

@EBBdude: Thanks man, you gave me the idea :)

@BEN129: Helmets = more weight :p hehe

About tinting the front windows...well i would have done the same but the damn new law in Slovenia restricts tinting the front windows :/ If i had tinted the windows before 1.1.2010 (i think) it would have been still possible but now you cant :(

Finally something new on the K11. Jup, its the GTiR short shift shifter. As you all know its a straight bolt on fit. Today two friends helped me with installing it and OMG what a hardcore difference it makes :)

Here's the thing:

Driving the car now became even more fun :) I will take a video tomorrow so that you can see how the thing shifts now.

Cheers,
Alex

Thanks mate!

Went to work today in the morning and gotta say i love how the car shifts. Wasn't driving it hard, just cruising to work as i live near my work and the engine was cold.

Yesterday we also replaced the stock gear shifter centering spring with a bigger harder one and its just working perfectly with the new shifter.
