Do you think you can make car badges with a 3D printer? It's probably fairly easy, but it's the chrome finish that I'm not sure about.
Yeah I heard that too. It might be a bit fiddly doing that on something as detailed as that.
the sidewalls of a raw print would at first be quite ripply and the top surfaces would be abit rough but I heard they could be smoothed out by rough sanding/filing/milling.
then fine smooth by brushing or baking acetone onto the surface to melt it.
then you could spray chrome paint over it?
At my college we have a mega 3d printer...
Made lots of bits, and to get them smoothed we sanded, filled then Sanded smooth before painting would remove any flexibility though
Have you made cup holders per chance?just purchased a new E3D V6 printer head upgrade
