Gearbox Oil Check.

Sorry if this has been done to death, the speedo drive cable on my car has an electrical connector on it, is this where i can still check the oil level or does it have a seperate check plug? if so where abouts is it?

On the side of the gearbox facing the front. Depends on the year of your car but its usually a 3/8" square. Fill it until it pours out!(Y)

thankyou for reply, ive had a look and it does have a plug on the side (facing the radiator) im just wondering is it still poss to check the level through the speedo connector as i dont have the socket for the plug? Looks like there is a bolt next to the electric connector..

I dont think so. Pretty sure the speed sensor doesnt have the line on the teeth. Plug at front is easier to access and remove anyway.
