K11 gearbox oil

This is the last item on the service list for our 1996 K11 1.0.
I have looked around the top and front of the gearbox, but cant see the level plug. Where is the level plug??? I really dont want to try and take the speedo cable out to do an oil change! It's EP90 for the box too? About 1 litre?

the speedo drive is the level check and filler iirc

yes, its the speedo cable hole. i think that the correct amount it is taken as a messurment to the level of the oil form the top of the hole. have you got a haynes? that explains it quite well i think.

Hayne's says three litres of sae80. The engine needs three litres of oil. Can anyone confirm this amount is correct?

When I done mine it took about 3 litres of gearbox oil.

autodata has it at 2.6 litre (pre98 1.0) and level with the plastic gear
