Good find, the link to DataScan info was broken though.

If your time to buy parts and build is worth more than $50, you can buy it from user NewKleer built for that much more (ECUTalk.com)

If you have kids, but spare parts and utilise child slave labour in the name of electronics education :)

LOL
Child labour.........I cant even get my kids to pickup the towels they use in the bath room !
most of the parts are available from Jaycar , just the crystal seems to be an unusual value ?
I might give it a go ( time permitting )
looks simple enough & " ECU talk " a free download should be suitable to use with it

the little block box that goes between the consult plug & a laptop so the ECU can talk to the PC
in a nutshell ;-)
same as what nissan does when they "plug in " to the computer & charge you to read the codes
Sorry I wasnt a bit clearer

Yes deNs is right only to diagnose......but with the right software can read & store ROM values . so one step closer to being able to reprogram blank ROMs
one step at a time,,,,,maybe ?
probably wont happen but hey a bit of fun
could be useful for diagnosing a faulty AFM etc
Ive got a stock K11E to experiment on.hope I dont stuff it up !
