Those bumper lights are gunna look great, not 100% sure on that grille though, I think some white mesh would set it off nicely though

In some of the pictures it looks like your windscreen squirters on the bonnet are chrome/silver. How have you done that? Mine are horrible black plastic, wish they looked like yours :D

nice,

its definitely different, one of the best ones to watch, i may have to borrow some of your ideas mate,

keep us updated :)

Cheers for the positive posts guys,

FOA ClnlPanic, previously I had chrome LED washer jets on with standard twin squirters on each, then I upgraded for free with slitted squirters which you'll find on the Nissan Note I believe.

I might have a set lying around somewhere still, just need to change the multi-coloured LED to white as I don't have a control box.

I don't think I quite understand - there are LEDs in your water squishers?! I don't think I'd be up for doing any wiring just to get my squirty bits looking flash, but if somewhere sells chrome ones I'd love to put some on, or did you paint yours?

My trouble is I don't really understand the workings there, what is the difference between washer jets and twin squirters?

Wiring is easy, but if you want I can remove the LEDs so you just have chrome jets?

Also a quick picture (Done in EXCEL, lol) of what my jets do.

Hmm, tempted to buy your old ones from you if you're willing, what does the LED do though, just look cool at night from inside the car, or to people coming the other way?

I actually binned my old ones, I just had a spare pair. I'll have a look inmy shed tonight to double check I still have them. The LED's come on with the side lights and the ones fitted are multicolour but I don#t have the control box, but I can fit white ones in though. But it was for people coming the other way.

Hmm, may just to whack some of these on: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/CHROME-WASHER...ts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item290299483393

But if you could put some white LEDs in yours and assure me that the wiring is easy and tell me how to do it then I'm tempted to buy your spare ones.

EDIT: Just saw the notice on this page: http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/..._productId_232901_langId_-1_categoryId_165604

For off road or show use only. These lights must not be visible to other road users. Not legal for use on public highways.

EDIT 2: Looking around it seems that white is fine law-wise.

Righty, the first link (EBAY) look very swish, the second link is what I have on my car, as I had to test them for colour output to make sure they were within the designate white light, though these are for offroad use only, as long as they're white (not green, blue, red etc) your not likely to get pulled unless you live in Ireland.

The ones I'm going to look for tonight look like this.

Don't look for them just for me, I think I may settle for these, then I don't have to worry about wiring, the law and replacing bulbs later down the line, but they'll still look b*tchin' and give a better mist than the standard ones:

http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/..._productId_377005_langId_-1_categoryId_165675

I'm guessing that although these are smaller than the standard, the paint that was underneath the standard ones will still look ok? If you see what I mean.

Anyone know how to fit these? Is it basically the same as this: http://www.bravo-guide.co.uk/photogal/guidepics/MistJets.pdf ?

Sorry for hijacking your thread a bit pjg1979 :D

Cheers Lewis123,

No bother Clnlpanic, happy to help, if future just PM me. I shall PM you later with details.

First of all I would like to thank SR Micra Boy for sorting me out with this MSC Sunstrip which I wanted to look like the top of the MSC page.

It's taken me nearly an hour to do by myself opinions please.

This is my first time doing a decal on this scale, there might be the odd crinkle, but hey I was alone and it's windy outside.

Nice, certainly better than my attempt, the passenger side of mine ended up about 5mm lower than the driver side

lol, cheers Olly, I had one foot on a spoke of my alloy and my left knee on the reinforce areas of my bonnet, lol.

Good News Bad News Update Today

Well I'll Start off with the Good News, I have finally managed to remove the Radiator (though there is a bolt still attached to the chasis, lol), and removed the Air Con cooler and some pipes ready to weigh.

Also removed one of the bumper strut things so I can sand down to remove the rust ready to primer and paint.

Now for the Bad News, god knows how this has happened but I'm well Peeved Off. What's wrong with these Pictures?

Can you see it?

If not there is a massive crack on my windscreen, unsure how this happened, don't if it were kids throwing stuff over the fence as I live next to a field or I just don't know.

I'm just really annoyed because it took me ages to put this on.

sorry to heat that, thats some really bad news  you might have put too much pressure on it while sticking the sun strip?

aw phil sorry to hear that what washer jets do you have on then the note ones as mine suck and only 3 out of the 4 holes squirt so i might be able to get some tonight when i go to work

Cheers guys, if you look at the previous pictures when I first put the sunstrip on the windscreen wasn't cracked then.

Kenny, the washer jets I have are Ripspeed Halfords ones with a flat spray of water.

Looky, looky, Arrived This Week.

A BIG thanks to Olly98 on getting these to me real quick, all I have to do is wait for some China Blue Paint to arrive (Friday/Monday) and get them painted up to match my car.

3486974592_297b7d71c2.jpg

My only issue is that they're not E' Marked, but they're shouldn't be a problem can't image the MOT man going round the vehicle checking E' Mark's, lol.

Hopefully by Wednesday next week I should have before and after pictures.

You don't have to have e marks mate, they are just a guarantee that they are fine, but if they conform to the standards then it is fine.

just realised my windscreen is cracked too lol, car is looking good though bud,its coming along quickly

Well today my Spray Paint arrived, sooner than I thought, so tomorrow I will be masking, cleaning and primering, then Tuesday I'll be getting the main China Blue painting done, can't wait. Not sure if I have any laquer left, but I got the 400ml can from Paints4U for little over £10.oo.

why are you getting your paint ordered and delivered? why not pick it up from local motor factors?

Because it's a specialist paint, I've tried, Halfords, BMS Motor Spares in Beeston, Morley Motor Spares and a couple of others.

Anyway I've got the 1st coat on this morning and a second coat will be on this lunchtime, can't believe I've got a drip.

I'll get some pics up later, but I need to buy some laquer before I put them on my car.

Yeah cos of all the curves etc I had a few runs as you probably saw but I just left them, can't wait to see them

You know the lights actually come out of the pod if you undo the little 8mm bolts at the back, makes spraying a lot easier

That's what I thought but when I un-screwed them they wouldn't budge, I think there's that mack stuff holding them in light whats around the headlamp.

this might be a stupid question but on those lights wheres the reverse light?

Adam

Yeah I loosened the bolts then pushed down on them hard and they eventually pop out. Originally the lights were the other way around but I decided to have indicators at the top for some reason

A couple of quick updates, well as some of you may know I've had a bonnet scoop for blimmen ages and I haven't fitted it yet, well I still haven't fitted it yet, but it is now painted, lol.

Still a little bit todo before this is fitted, though when it's done it's going to be like a forced induction sorta thing. (if it's not forced induction I would like to know why) Whats going to happen is there will a pipe going straight onto the air filter below, with only a little of bit of air that will escape.

Also another picture of my Pod Lights which I hopefully will be fitting this weekend.

3505343664_eca2c064a2.jpg

Some more good news as well, got a standard Lip Spoiler off Manny, but I have ideas for that, just need some Resin and Fiber Glass.

Ram air (when you got a scoop going into the filter and then TB like that) is really only effective over 150mph I think. They fit it on bikes to provide a little boost. But you'll certainly get colder air so with some exhaust mods you'll see some gains.

Although I forgot on this forum unless you have a degree in motorsport you can't say things like that so add the prefix: 'I have heard that'

Well I temporarily fitted them yesterday and decided the car needs a wash as you can just about see the difference between the pods and the car. Also didn't realise there is that black mastick stuff holding them in, I was trying to pull one out not realising I was lifting the back of the car, lol.
