that dot at the top should be at about 1 o,clock chris, but you can advance or retard the cams if you alter that position (ie, if the dot is 180deg different, the cam sprockets advance half a tooth) :)

Wdid?
Checked where my wheels were scuffing at the weekend (4 ppl plus lowered springs = ouch) and found as frank suggested the main culprit was the bumper attachment at the back. Anyone else had this issue? im sure someone mentioned it a while ago... how can i stop it happening? Ive already got an offset panhard bush which saves the arches but this is a new one for me!

The garage that have my alloys have finally phoned ME I didn't need to phone and nag them! Haha after 3 weeks (for an hours job) of having my alloys that's them finally done. Will go and pick them up tommorow

get that grinder out joe :D
WDIDT ? made the mount for the S/C, and should have a pic of it mounted in a couple of days :)

Ahh cool, what suspension you got sorted for it? I've gotta take a grinder to mine saturday to sort out the hideous scuffing noises when passengers get in!

Did some cleaning and reassembly while waiting for head bolts. They have now come so hopefully have car back up and running at the weekend....fingers tightly crossed

WDID? Went to the local WalMart, on coming out, found, sat on the curb, a perfectly good splitter in perfect condition next to my car, on further investigation, its complete and all intact. Thats going on tomorrow :) Must have been ripped off after they parked too close to the raised curb. Heyho, their loss is my gain

Picked up the alloys today got them fitted at the place because we wanted to make sure they fitted alright, then once they fitted them they asked for an extra 40 quid on top of the 80, I told the guy I only had the 80 and if I knew I was getting charged to make sure theyve done there job right I wouldve done it myself so I went for the option of them taking my alloys off because I said I would only pay the 80 :S atleast I've got the alloys back and won't be going near them again haha

Talk about a bunch of cocks! Im lucky i know the guy who works on my car quite well and he's well known with the local shops etc so i get mates rates all over saying ive come from his place. Find a guy like that near you and all will be well :) or... become an epic mechanic in your spare time :p

Wdid?

Clipped a bolt sticking out of our fence post (parking EPIC fail) and shredded my tyre, got a new one part worn at the 3rd try, 2nd shop lol. Still, only 15 quid so not too bad :)

Does it still use the same oil feed and return, and is that the stepper pulley on top of the alt in the pic?
its got belt idler bearings if you remember from previous pics ^ karl :) packed with grease, and designed to run continuously @ 20k rpm, and yes thats the 3:1 pulley, to make the s/c run 7 x crank speed
That looks ace :) very compact design compared to a lot of superchargers you normally see, could be the way forward!

its only a copy of paxton/vortech/procharger etc, but without the gearbox eh, hopefully the boost threshold of my compressor wheel is,nt too high

heh :D looks like i need more rpm tho about 2 x faster i guess (suspected as much) but i dont have access to the lathe till after crimbo tho :( (to turn down that top pulley to half size)

You and your plastics bags and balloons frank.

a bit insane!
tis neil (is this the same neil who,s trying to turbo quad carbs ? :p ) my intention is for electric drive (boost on demand), so i need to source a 2 or 3hp 12v motor, this is more of a tinkering exercise :) hence the quickfit square stump mounting (for 1/4 mile/trackdays maybe)
the little T15 was great as a daily setup, but the turbine choke really restricts the exhaust (it drops to the size of my little finger !) but i reckon an electric centrifugal one could give that same lowdown kick for daily driving, but without the restrictive (and other) side effects
