Wipers not working properly

Just bought a cheap run about, was gonna turn into another grasser but it way to good for that.

There is a couple of problems i can see at the mo. Wipers are not intermittent (they still work tho) just wondering what this could be.

Bit of rust on boot door- Will address this then probably put on ebay

pre face plates have the fault in the switch arm.if i renember co rect

the pre-facelift ones have a square box next to the wiper motor glen, that works the intermittent (when fitted)

I dont suppose this would be the same for when the wipers dont go all the way back down?

Glen, I've had same problem, so I have an easy fix for this,

Symptoms are, intermittent only does half its usual sweep,
Wipers end up half way up the screen. Wipers don't go back down by themselves

So this might help you, it's worked on both my previous K11 pre FL's,
You will need 1 x 30cm 'ish cable tie and pliers!

1.At back of engine bay, under the square box next to the wiper motor there is a wire (black taped up) underneath going up into it.
2. Set the wipers to intermittent, ignition on, you might wanna spray a bit of wet onto screen so they don't burn out.
3. Go under bonnet at the back of bay push/wiggle the wire (under the square box) carefully up towards the box,
4. If your lucky, moving the wire will start the intermittent going properly.
5 If that is correct, Now, vertically attach a cable tie to keep the wire up. Cut off excess cable tie with pliers.

That should do you for a good few years and save you having to replace the box
