Quick football maths question

Hi guys

Im trying to work something out....

14 football matches - 3 possible outcomes per game (Win, lose, draw). How many possible outcomes would there be for all games played with all outcomes? Is it 14x14x14?

Do you mean combinations or permutations?

permutations with repetition is 3x3x3x3x3x3x3x3x3x3x3x3x3x3 (3 to power of 14), if I remember rightly, but probably not.

yeah the number of different outcomes for a season of 14 games is 3^14 = 4782969

if you could only win or lose:
1game = 2 results
2 games = 4 results
3 games = 8 results

and so on.
