Porks bike carbs and boost project

****ed it up when changing hub over lol,

Whole thing was dodgy anyway, cv joint fell apart, lost ball bearings, boots ripped......trashed! That's what I get from trying to do repairs jus before it gets dark

Yup!

Not gunna bother with another dodgy scrap yard find, ordered brand spanking new one, got brand new one for near side other week, so il treat other side to new one too

Aaa argh

I thought all k11 hubs were same!?

Here's old one

And recently bought one

New one doesn't fit the bottom ball joint, the holes to small!

jdm maybe neil ?

I took it from a early pre f/l k11 in scrappy, if I'd known that they were differnt, I woulda kept the k10 lower arms, as I think they would off fit that ball joint, oh well.

I always seem to come across all the odd ball size for parts

Early K11's like mine need a 30mm socket for the hub nut and later ones need a 32mm socket iirc, so I wonder if there were other changes?

It would seem that way.

Had same problem with my k10 shafts, different to all the others about!

Still waiting on new shaft to arrive, said it would be here by now :(
Hate waiting for parts!!

Blaaahhhh!

Got new shaft.

That little c shaped spring clip that's on the spline , how imports is that?
Long story short, it was bent, tried fixing it, and it flew away somewhere :(

They hold the bearing on the shaft. Relatively important bud
The vacuum the cv joints create when you go round a corner or over a bump can pull a bearing off the shaft. Extreme example but it'd be just your luck

Daaaaaaammmmmmmmm!!!!!!!'

Stupid car, stupid parts, stupid little bloody ****ty clip things!!

It's the cars fault, it couldn't possibly be mine at all

Found the little c-clip spring thing!!!! :)

All bolted on........tracking needs sorting badly tho! Even tho I've jus hadding it done. That hub and wobbly shaft must off been proper shagged to put tracking out that much after replacing with new parts.

Also if anyone has one of these that will go over a 32mm nut

Il glady take it off your hands

Cheers people :)

Tracking will have to wait till Wednesday, need gearbox oil too, and should be able to buy rest of exhaust parts

Ooooo, that reminds me, the centre exhaust hanger bracket, I've misplaced mine (boss probably threw it away ) so if anyone has one of those, il take that too

Still got rumbly feeling when turning

All wheel bearings ok
Brand new drive shafts
Tracking done

What else?

Wheel balance? It's fine in straight line though
