need help with my rev counter?

now before people say go read the guides i have and i don't think they can help me.

basically i fitted a set of super s clocks into my 1.0 shape a while back. well mot time has come and i need it wired up. i ran the wire from the dizzy to the back of the clocks and nothing happened so i need to ask i few q's

1. which block do u connect it into i connected into the one on the left if u look at the clock as the driver posistion.

2.do i need to connect it to anything else?

3. do i actually need it to work for the mot?

it wont fail an mot
of the 3 plugs behind the clocks, the one near the tacho is probably missing the blue/black wire on your loom, i presume you have to tap your wire into that empty contact ?
