My long promised blog

:( lucky man lol i still got roll :/
Coilovers yo :) arb's dont stop body roll.. springs do
I use them cheap polo coilovers but as they're 51mm shock tubes (close to the decent stuff of 53mm) so I used some different pistons I them to change damping to suit me and the springs to compliment.
Handles like a dream. Tiny bit of roll and pitch but that's perfect :D

So I think I'll share my very current and expensive project
I have unfortunately lost my beloved Gp.N Evo7..
Why?
I was in the market for an Impreza or a newer Evo 9
And I did a good deal and ended up deciding to go with one of these

I now have (when restrictors removed) at a guess a 550/600hp YB powered Escort Cosworth... not a bad investment I thought ;)
Now to convert it to Gp.N from Gp.A and rock the show

I'll be in my bunk...

So you picked it up this weekend? Going to get it wrapped in a new livery?
Not yet mate. Had to strip the evo down so its back to just white and swapping it like that :)

Yea I'm gonna get a new set up at some point. Not sure what but the classic blue and white ford livery seems to be favourite at the minute :)

Ordered a new peltor helmet in blue too. So I'll take it testing at some point :) see how their gravel & tarmac setup varies

Depending on where your testing could you let me know and see if I could get some testing to?

Will be interest to see how yours will do in grp A, never seen one do that we'll before ;)

Of course I will matey :) usually go for spec specific testing days but I'll keep my eye out

Might give Gp.A a go but looking to jump back in Gp.N

Gp. N would be pretty good fun I guess ;)
Hope all goes good
It would be but this years rule change means we are all under group R. Group N was always close competition.

Yay more rules to learn
Group N is R3 I think and Group A is R2. Got it all to learn again.

R2 is a step off WRC :p

Swear the R classes used to be the front wheel drive ones?? Like fiestas and all that?

Edit:...
Ohh, up to R4 :)

Yea R1-3 are... oops :p
After I'd written I'd realised.
R4 is where I'd end up being put.. then again they've chucked that many classes out now nobody really knows where they are

I think R3 is the highest class id like to do, I just love FWD tbh :)
Well the R classes(1-3) specify "2 wheel drive" so rear wheel drive is acceptable

They'll be a few years phasing Gp.N and Gp.A out for R4... but then again they're phasing out R4.... so where are all these cars gonna go? I dont even think the FIA knows atm

Aren't they trying to push down the engine sizes to 1.6t? So maybe they'll just stick them into one big, open category?
There's RGT which is an open class.... but there's no competition for them...
Why are they clamping engine sizes down in sports.... soon our daily cars will be quicker and more on the edge than them
