high idle

how doo peeps.
i upgraded some of my vacuum hoses to red silicone. it looks nice but i had to take off the big sensor thing off the front of the throttle body (the one with the brown connector) to get to the feed that goes to the fpr, i put it back on again. but after i did all this my car will not drop to 800rm at idle it stays at bout 1100rpm.
so i wanna know what sensor it is i removed ( the one with the brown connector)
and is this giving me the problem?

its the idle control valve on the front of the t/b, :wasntme: you did,nt trap the "o" ring did you ?

i could have, i dont remember coming across one. ill check that!

ive just checked and it was pressed in the bottom. put it back on and its worked, idling perfect!.
