I'm new to the forum, I'm currently looking into getting a k10 Micra.

I've got a couple of questions about the 55bhp 1 litre engine, the one a couple of models had over the 50bhp.

Now, my question is, is there a noticable difference with this extra 5bhp and does anyone know the 0-60 time? I've already managed to find the 0-60s for the "normal" 1 litre and the 1.2.

Also, is there anything else I should know about the engine, or is it virtually the same as the others?

Annoyingly I have no idea what engine you are referring to.

Think the 1.2 had 60bhp.

the 55bhp MA10s were 5 speeds and the 50bhp MA10 were 4spds, not sure if the diference is to noticable, i've only ever driven the 4spd

Trouble is, gearboxes go and different ones can be fitted so if your in a scrappy, that's not the best way to go about determing the engine in the car.

It is down to compression i believe, but i dont know how you'd tell the difference from a standard one as it's all internal differences
