handbrake/oil/bat light staying on..

hi,

my 1l k10 has a fault where the dash display lights for the handbrake/oil/battery stay on when the key is taken out of the ignition.,seems to be intermittent.
any ideas on whats causing this?

may be ignition barrel. if you wiggle the key when its off do they flicker at all?

I had this exact problem it was the ignition relay, get a new one, problem solved.

Oh yeah it's in your driver footwell, there are 2 of them screwed into a speaker hole behind the kick panel

thanks,will look at it later,had to replace the indicator relay a few weeks ago...now this one.

I also have a simmilar problem but its only with the oil light, it is staying on without the keys in the ignition. has anyone had this problem? or any ideas on how to resolve this problem?? cheers bomb

is the realy one of the ones above the fuses?do the relays just pull straight out,i dont have an owners manual,and my haynes doesnt have any answers...
