Hey guys,

I was doing the suspension and i pulled the drive shaft out and I have no idea how. lost some fluid and I just cant put that fricking thing back. Can you have a look at the pics and tell me that all of that is kosher and Im just being useless. It seems like the wrong shaft :( thanks

Right shaft, but your missing the securing clip on the end. Try and get the shaft in as straight as you can. Turn it about and push it in. Something very satisfying about hitting it home.

Thanks guys, Securing ring? Dont have that. Hope its not in that fricking gearbox :( I just can put that thing in there all the way. There is like a 5mm gap. Should I put it in neutral or leave it in gear? Any more help much appreciated.

here,s the 2 types of c/v, the pre98 1.0 spline is only 22mm dia, yours should be 24.5mm ish dia, and yes you need the snag ring to stop it from falling out while driving

Try a Nissan dealer. You get them in a cv boot kit, and your meant to change them, but they are bit of a pig to change, and if they are ok they get left.

I took that joint of the shaft to make it a bit easier. I still cant put that peace of poo in. I tried litterary everything. I was turning it around, forcing it in, everything. Is it normal that top bit of the spine is a bit turned? do i actually need that ring to put it in? i wouldnt think so, but maybe. Im out of ideas. :( see pics
