Drive shaft 'c' clip

right my mrs kerbed my micra so bad she bent the shock, when i removed the shocker the drive shaft poped out of the cv joint so i took off the gaiter to check it before poping it back in and the 'c' clip that holds the driveshaft in the cv joint has broken into about 6 bits. problem is i could not buy the 'c' clip seperatly so i just put it back together without one after 3 days it has not poped back out (even with abuse) but do you recon it will be ok or do i need to get a 'c' clip asap?

get a c clip, it will pop out, probably on full lock or if you go over a rise in the road quickly and the suspension tops out, I've got a spare one in the glove box you can have if you like.
