hi my 97 micra is wearing the outside edge of the left hand tyre very badly( other side is fine).the tyre man said if only one side is bad then its not tracking.any suggestions??? thanks carl

i agree with your man, if the tracking is out, it should wear both tyres equally.
maybe kerb damage or worn wishbone bushes ?

» CMF Memberhi frank sorry for slow reply.i will take a look at whish bone bushes is it easy to tell if there gone by looking at them? also i am thinking that it could be the shocks cos its pretty noisy over bumps and i heard that they could cause the uneven wear.thanks carl

a clunk over bumps is more likely a worn bottom ball-joint imo, which would show if you get someone to shake the top of the wheel (not jacked up)
