tyre wear

Hi all just noticed that the front off side tyre is wearing on the inside edge only ...!
I do have a intermittent knock from that side
So may be a ball joint ?
Any clues ..?

jack up each front wheel, steering lock engaged, and give the wheel a wriggle from 9oclock/3oclock (movement = worn tierods, lower ball or wheel bearing),
from 12oclock/6oclock (movement = worn lower ball or wheel bearing),
and push it in/out (movement = worn lower arm front bush)

ah yeah totally forgot to mention bout the importance of checking the wheels alignment after checking all the mechanical joints r secure. thx

That was with both. But my lower balljoints and cvs were bad two
