Towing a trailer

Just learn and understand your towing weight and speed limits etc. I towed loads in all sorts of cars and even a 1.0 K10 was fine.

FYI generally this will apply to you:
Motorway: 60mph
Two lane dual carriageway 60mph
Single lane dual carriageway 50mph

we (Liz & I) have towed a 1.2 K10 (the bullet) using a 1.0 liter (thunderbird one)

on private closed road (*achem cough)

we used a rope (bad move) too springy)

the 1.0 litre coped fine with the load but a rigid tow bar would have been a god sent had we have had one to hand...:-S

PS Lis driving the 1.0 in front and me in the towed 1.2...CRAZY

You have balls..

IMO other than that fact you shouldn't do it (lol) K10s really don't have nearly enough power to pull another car properly! (exc the ST lol)

Speaking of towing this is what I have been pulling around a lot recently lol:

i towed my other micra for 5 hours up north, that was a one man towing dolly, but also a 1.3 engine.

i also towed a small trailer from england to Sweden, again with a 1.3

Just as another point of interest A frame type tow bars are illegal for anything other than removing a broken car as an obstruction etc.
