It sounds like you may have got to the point where you will need to take the roof trim out, pull the sunroof out and bring it back into place manually if you cannot manhandle it back into position while it is fitted to the car.
If you want to open your sunroof ever again its probably time to call someone who repairs them or start searching your wreckers/breaking yards for a new sunroof assembly.
If that is what you have to end up doing could you please take pictures and post them up using imageshack or something? I'd like to see what part of the rail failed.
yeah sure.... they sheared off both sides, and it only flaps at 110+ now anyway...lol but seriously i do have a 1.3 super s in a scrappy near me, and the only thing thats left is a rusted solid engine, the gearbox and the sunroof...lol
