Standard clutch or performance clutch

i dont know how much real gain there is from a performance clutch or how much it will cost as i need a new clutch and can get a LUK clutch for £60 and fitting for £150
any advice?

tbh unless you need the extra offered from a performance clutch...the only thing you'll notice is a lighter wallet.

for a standardish car (not 100% what youve done to yours) a normal clutch should do the job just fine. :)

my pre 98 1.0 clutch copes with 90ish hp ok, you wont gain any performance unless the clutch is slipping

but whats the gain from performance clutch?

Basicly no slipping instant grip and alot of it, pain in the butt in traffic and not too good for the transmission.
Plus there isn't a performance clutch for the 1.0 anyway, your have to swap the flywheel gearbox from a 1.3.
performance clutches start from about £200.

I don't think a performance clutch gives gains. It's only needed when you have so much power your standard clutch slips.
