how would i go abotu replaceing the sill on my 2 dr 1991 micra ???

Cut the old one off and weld a new one on. Paint it to protect it.

If you dont know how to do it, then you really should get someone who does know what they're doing to do it.

I'm just welding mine up, undersealing them and putting side skirts on over the top.

Depends if you know anyone who can weld? I know 3 people so free. lol.

Best to ask around local garages. Also remember the more work you do, the less they charge.

Remove the old one, seal them afterwards. Not a massive amount but it may make things a little cheaper.

You may even find some engineering firms may have someone who will do it on the side cash in hand kind of thing

I've just had one of my sills welded at a cost of £140 all in. but then they had to take off loads...all good now

Last time I did mine I just stuck them over the top drilled a few holes through them filled them with weld then quick run of weld across the joins done MOT pass

how bad dose it need to be before it will fail an MOT, because i have this problem but it dosnt go all the way through but is very soft.

That's what they do make big ass holes where the rust was

a friend started screaming at the mot guy who saw the sill bubling and attacked it with the pointed mot -special hammer-
