Sisters failed MOT, rust on sill. Had a look, huge patch, you could push it into the actual body you can see.
Can you buy plates to weld over it? My dad's gonna do it, good at that stuff, engineer ect. but he hasn't got loads of time, he'd prefer to buy a plate and weld that, if not he'll have to machine a bit of steel.
He reckons a year or two's MOT before the whole thing collapses!
What's the best way of stopping it in it's tracks now, before it get's worse? Such a hard place to get to inside the sill. It's corroding inside.
My sister just wants it through the MOT. As much as I won't admit it to some people (sorry. :blush I do quite like the car, if it wasn't so crap now she's been driving it I MAY of had it to do up and give to a friend (I'm a dubber).
