I've spent all of today tinkering with Rocky, and he's coming along rather nicely. Bodywork repair work is being carried out next week, with the MOT hopefully sometime next weekend (shame it won't be ready for JAE) and I've done a massive overhaul and clean inside and out, so he's now nice and shiney!

Some wiring has also been tidied up, little bits and pieces and it's nearly ready for some fresh cabling to be laid for the install.

New lowering springs/suspension, vented brake discs and a brand new set of tyres to be added, then hopefully I'm pretty much done!

What do you reckon?

This used to be Micracharge's car until last week (the one using 'MicraSquirt').

I'm trying to keep spending to a minimum, but I'm interested Davey :)

Ideally I need at least a Panhard rod if you have one....

I know I know :(

A few factors....money....insurance is much cheaper too, reliability, servicing/repairs costs. I also 'know' micra's, i don't know T5's o_O and I still hadnt found one that was in decent condition.

Anyway, I'm sure you would have chosen this too if you'd been offered the price I was, plus this.... ;)

I won't be at JAE in this as the bodywork is getting done next week, and as I work the MOT will have to wait until a weekend.... :(

Really want to bring it to JAE though, so I'm going to try! Might aim for Sunday :)

I'm away with work on Friday, possibly into Saturday so I wont be going up until Saturday or Sunday! Can do the trip back though :)

Unfortunately I will probably be in my old grey micra :(

Yes, and its Nitrous not flipping CO2!

Nitrous in fire extinguisher red coloured bottle, ok probaly be better off with the CO2 with an install, use the same solernoids just not pointing in the manifold. lol.
 
Doh! Well get your plastic down to Micrasport! And don't forget the 10% discount. Just wondering whether smoked would look better than clear?!!!

Hmm, they don't do pre in smoke!! Ahh well, 21 quid for clear :)

Bodywork was completed on Friday but I couldnt get an MOT booked for the Saturday (all booked up) and the missus also went into hospital.

The MOT is booked for tomorrow at 4:30, fingers crossed.

I love the colour!
 
Bodywork finished, MOT passed today, insurance from tomorrow - woohoo! :love::devil:

Time for a trip to Bridges and the fitting of the decat, suspension and oil cooler :)
 
I didnt get to clean it on Saturday, it pee'd it down! Just finished polishing though and I'll see if I can get some a bit later :)

Wiring for the new stealth install, along with the gauges is going in today/tomorrow. Although currently it's weather permitting as it's rained most of the day and is forecast to rain tomorrow too :(.
 
Serious lack of time at the moment due to university, but I've moved the Apexi SAFC from the top of the dash into a more stealth location, cabling is also hidden too which is what I like :) :

i still love the pioneer 9600, i used to have an 8400, but sold it as the ribbon to the front screen went twice, one was under warranty, the other cost me £50+ to have it repaired.
i've got a deh-p7600mp now as i wanted a good stereo without the fancy fold out thing.
also, i've just purchased a £350 r reg polo with a Pioneer DEH-P65BT bluetooth jobbie fitted in it :)

it's good to know an ice specialist like yourself buys pioneer :)


are you planning on using the megasquirt ecu for the turbo? or an Edcu lol.

15" Lenso RS5's.

Rear is basically standard apart from the exhaust, I'm not doing any major bodywork.

Oh and I agree on the indicators. I had a pair last year but sold them before I got the car, oops!
 
Well thanks to Ollie I've now got some clear indicators to fit :)

Fixed my exhaust problems yesterday (manifold joint had a bad leak, Craig knows how awful it sounded!) and gave the car a well deserved clean polish and wash. Looked pretty good today so I took some photos:

Suspension plus everything else will be fitted in June :)

when you gettting your....erh.......other bits ;) fitted if dont mind me asking?
