Hi There,
Can anybody help me with this --
I have a 1991 Micra LS 954cc 75000 miles
The problem is -- steam from the exhaust when engine hot.
Just after starting, the rocker cover fills with oil and bubbles, which on revving, blows out the oil filler cap,and also into the air filter housing.
Turning the engine over with all plugs removed results in oil blowing out of number 1 cyl. spark plug hole.

I think the head gasket has blown, does anybody have any other thoughts?
Help Please
Regards
Colin

Sell it to a wrecker and get yourself a K11 :)

Dont see it as a busted car, see it as an opportunity to upgrade to the nifty K11! :D teehehe.

Generally small japanese motors are cheap to fix, IF you can get a good price on a new gasket.

Thanks guys for the tips.
She`s not ready for the knacker`s yard just yet!
I am going to replace the head gasket/de-coke etc.
If that fails - then it`s new piston rings.
Parts are quite cheap here.
When I save some more dosh ,I will buy a K11
Cheers

You guys!!!
The spark plug holes are insulated from the engine oil by rubber seals on the inside of the rocker cover. Don't panic and do anything rash.
Buy a new set of spark plug seals and a new R/C gasket.

Oh yeah. Now I've actually read the post......PANIC!!
