how to remove the rocker cover

Hi All , I'm trying to fix the spark plug oil seals in the rocker cover but it would help if I could remove the aluminium rocker cover in the first place ? How is it done, I removed all the screws & rubber tubes holding it in place and apart from hitting it with a hammer & small peace of wood which I don't want to damage the cover How is it done? Stick a screwdriver between the rocker cover and block and pry it up. Most of the time its just stuck on.

I wedge a flathead screwdriver inbetween the port & the bolt head and pry up to lift that corner, then grab the other side and wiggle the cover up off the spark plug tubes
