Replace sill (mot fail), difficult?

Is it difficult and/or expensive to replace a sill on a K11? Mine just failed the mot and they want £98 to weld a new plate over the risted bit.

cant say without seein a pic of the sill and how bad it is, i cant remember how much i paid to get mine donme

:glance: £98! was quoted £45 here, but ended up cutting out the area myself, firbreglassing over then When I put the skirts on it covered the damage

I've done something smilare when the MOT'er put a small hole in mine, if done right it's passable but if you got quoted £98 then it must be big

I had both sills welded (most the way both sides) for way less than that, not sure on the exact price - but paid less than that including other jobs (fitting new dizzy and exhaust)

costs 19.09+del, so most of the cost in your quote must be for labour. It sounds expensive to me.
